These shoes are oddly shaped, that they're uncomfortable to wear, hard to bike in, and painful to walk in. The uppers are very stiff, so I had to unfold the velcro straps all the way to get my feet in them. I could see my sock next to where the tongue attaches, suggesting that's likely a weak spot. The cleat attaches under the outside of the shoe, so when clicked into pedals pushes my legs close together.I wore them on my way to work today, and am dreading wearing them home. That said, my cleats went on quick and easy, and seem to be entirely recessed, so I don't hear metal grinding when I walk on concrete.I would not buy these again.

This shoe is rather narrow - but I have found this normally relaxes after some time...OK.However, the big issue is the triple straps. Perhaps it is me...but it seems the pull back point is too high and your foot never feels secure. My old Shimano straps are lower on the foot and provide a secure fit.Anyway, if your budget is already here...spend a bit more and just get the dial shoe.

I chose these shoes because I just started mountain biking (long time road cyclist) and wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted. They seemed to be a good balance of comfort/performance without breaking the bank while I decided if mountain biking would become a regular thing. They have exceeded my expectations so far. They are comfortable, fit me exactly true to size, and have a surprising amount of adjustability for just having straps. They’re also easy to walk the bike in when necessary and you can even install additional spikes that help with that (I didn’t so not sure how well they work). As for the downsides... you’re not going to get everything at this price point. My feet get very sweaty on hot days due to a lack of ventilation, and not having boa’s means you have to get off the bike to make adjustments. Recommendation is to not pull them all the way tight then adjust after 15-20 minutes, the first two rides I got some toe numbness from pulling the bottom strap too tight.

Got a halfsize larger and they were a touch too big. Made up for this with a pair of sweat socksThey are comfortable and the velcro straps so far make for easy off and on

Shoe is fine. However the advertisement said that there was to be "pedal cleats" included. The cleats that snaps you into the pedal. There was not. I had to scavenge the old clips off my old shoes. I sure could use a pair of new indoor spin cycle clips as promised originally

I am a size 11.5 and I ordered the 46. This size fits my foot length well. The shoe feels a little wide but the Velcro tightens the shoe snugly without pinching or discomfort. I believe this is a good value for beginners and those like myself that bought a new road bike after 39 years since the last one. EVERYTHING has changed. :) I went with the MTB type shoes as these do allow walking on a smooth surface without slipping. I can't address the durability since I only have a couple of rides in these.Update: 4 months: Very happy with these shoes. If I would do anything different "maybe" go 1 size smaller.? I simply do not think about these shoes while riding so that is a good thing. No noticeable wear anywhere on the shoe.

These shoes were not what I had expected. I prefer not to use cleats or toe clips on my bike. I had hoped that these shoes, with the rubber lugs shown in the picture, would suffice to grip the pedals without additional fasteners. They did not. Indeed, in my initial two-hour ride with these shoes, my feet slipped off the pedals at least fifteen times, three instances being quite painful.

I bought these to replace a pair of 15 year old Shimano shoes that were worn out. My initial impression upon unboxing them and trying them on was positive but I wondered how they would perform while riding. My wife and I took the kids for a ride on our tandem including a stop to run around at a playground. When we got home my wife asked how he new shoes did. I completely forgot I was wearing them. I think that is a pretty high praise because if anything was less than perfect I would have noticed but the fact that I couldn't tell the difference between these and my other shoes means they were comfortable. They feel true to size and while the finish isn't quite as polished as the name brand shoes, the comfort and pedaling efficiency seems to be identical. Overall I am very happy.
