I got this to go with the circle shape mate. I was a little skeptical because I'd tried several different circle cutters and they really didn't work. This cutter is easy to use. it swivels with ease. I love that's it's small and comes in a little carrying case. I love love love this product, and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good shape cutter.

Maybe this takes some practice, but on my first try it was anything but "effortless". Tricky to make sure the template stays in place--even with the paper taped down to keep it stable. Tricky to get start and finish spots to line up. And annoying to have to go to the extra expense of buying a glass cutting mat. I'm not thrilled. Again, maybe with some practice it will be better, but why should I have to practice??

I like this cutter. It's small so it is easy to store. The blades are sharp and can be easily changed.I would recommend using a glass cutting mat, which is suggested by the manufacturer. I've used it with a self healing mat and it is difficult to cut with.
