How it Works
Pop a Tonie on top of the Toniebox
Tonies are characters that feature content, stories and songs from an ever-growing collection of modern favorites and timeless classics. Putting a Tonie on top of the Toniebox starts the audio experience. Swapping stories is as simple as changing the Tonie on your Toniebox. (And if your child takes a Tonie off mid-story or song, it will restart at the same place when it’s put back on!)
Give it a pinch. Give it a tilt. Give it a tap.
The Toniebox is intuitively controlled by your child. Pinch the little ear to turn the volume down. Pinch the big ear to turn the volume up. Tilt the box left and right to fastforward and rewind. Give the box a firm pat on the side to skip audio tracks.

With Creative-Tonies you can record up to 90 minutes of custom content. Simply record and upload through the mytonies app. Whether you’re uploading favorite songs or recording a custom message, the only limits are the bounds of your imagination. Great for personalizing your own Tonie for kids. It’s nice that they do other ones besides the plain colored ones. We use this one for songs our toddler likes to sing a long with. Easy to load music on and instructions are very straightforward. Functions just like preloaded ones when you put it on the Tonies box. Great price too. Keeps the kiddo entertained. He loves it!

My daughter absolutely loves Tonies and her favorites are the creative tonies our family members have made and given to her. It's a little bit of work to record yourself but it's so worth it. I did it on my iphone with the voice memo app. I would recommend this if you are recording a story because it allows you to back up and record over part of it if you make a mistake. The Tonie app didn't see to allow me to do that. After you have your files created, it's a simple process to transfer them to the creative tonie. It comes with easy to follow directions. You will need to actual Tonie box to complete the file transfer. Once It's set up you can keep adding files until you reach the 90 minute max. I found I was able to record 2 short kids chapter books (about 60 pages each) and another short story. My daughter listens to it every day!

We used our Tonie to record grandparents and great grandparents reading books for our military family overseas. I’m not sure how easy the setup was for my daughter, but the kids love it.

We bought this Creative Tonies Character so I (Nana) could record our bedtime stories for my grandson. We usually only see each other once a week, now that he is in preschool. Prior to preschool, he had come to Nana's house everyday. He missed our afternoon and bedtime storytime that Nana had read to him. It was an important part of each day. He's a bigger boy now, but loves hearing my voice each night. After he has listened to a full set of stories several times, I record new ones and upload them to the Tonie. It's a wonderful way to stay part of his everyday life. We call this one Tonie Nana :-)

My daughter-in-law had the great idea to get a customizable Tonie for me to read my son’s favorite childhood stories so that my grandsons could hear me reading to them, as we live several hours apart. Then the best thing is, she gave it to my son as a Father’s Day gift. This was so easy to do with the app. The sound was amazing. Of course I get to be represented as the little, cute, red-headed rockstar of a grandma, and everyone loved it! Tonies have been one of the best gifts I’ve ever given and the boys love it!
