Hang Em Fast creates an instant revolutionary joist hanger installation tool to provide a more accurate measurement. It has a super easy installation and provides precise joist placement for your next DYI project, or for professional remodeling.
About Us
As a builder of 20 years and one who often works alone a lot of the time, this idea of Hang-Em-Fast came out of a need and frustration. No one had come up with a tool to help in the process of installing metal joist hangers. So we thought - if we use a scrap piece of lumber as a jig to place the hanger why not make a jig that will hold the hanger and line it up for us? Thus this amazing tool called Hang-Em-Fast was born!

TIPS FOR BEST RESULTS
Use the widest board for Ledger and Rim. Ledger board attaches to structure.
Joist, Ledger and Rim material need to be equal in size. All 2x8 or all 2x10 or all 2x12.
Joist must be flush with top of Ledger/Rim boards. Use man-made or cedar wedge on bottom of joist if necessary.
*Note: Wedges can often be used to correct other joist issues.
HOW TO USE STEPS
Step 1
Insert joist hanger into Hang-Em-Fast tool.
Step 2
Line up tool and hanger with markings on the ledger or rim board and push tool upward so tongue makes contact with ledger board.
Step 3
Use nail gun to fasten hanger to ledger board.
*Pro tip: Nail upper right first and then bottom right. Repeat on left side of hanger.
Step 4
Pull Hang Em Fast tool away from joist hanger.

This Product is fantastic. It cut my installation time at least in half. It doesn't seem to be extremely durable if you're going to use it every day but I installed 100 joist hangers in just a couple hours and performed quite well.

Made from questionable plastic. Designed to not last long. The idea of the product is great. Would get 5 stars if the company would use metal materials and build a durable product. For the price I'm thinking I'll be returning it because I don't see it being able to withstand dropping it more than once or twice.

Did not work with 2x4 hangers, but it isn’t advertised as working with them so can’t fault it.Used it with 2x8 hangers and it worked very well. I don’t have a lot of experience with hanging joists so it takes me a while attaching blocks to the top of each joist. This tool allowed me to hang all the hangers first and then just put the joists in. As others have mentioned there is a slight learning curve, but even with that it is much faster for me. Highly recommend using the joist screws instead of nails for at least a couple holes so you can hold the tool in one hand and driver in the other to get it attached, then can finish up with nails if cheaper.

1 star, because I'm not allowed to leave a no-star review! It's made from a special type of very brittle plastic, it's inaccurate, and it's far, far too expensive for what it is. We set thousands of joist hangers and are always looking for any device that can increase our fix rate. This looked promising, it failed to deliver. Even after I made one of my lads use only this tool for a day in order to get "into a rhythm" with it, it proved itself to be slower and less accurate than the jigs we make from plywood offcuts.

Overall this is a great product, the only issue I have seen is the bottom lip the hanger sits on is too short. If you lengthen the bottom lip, it would sit perfect flush with gerder. Alot of the lumber I have noticed the edges are broken/live edge so if the bottom lip was longer you wouldn't have to eyeball it. but on a side note it has sped up nailing hangers drastically.
