Mostly happy with this purchase. The workmanship is excellent and I fully expect that this will perform better than the stock plastic and thin metal intercooler that came on my 2010 (SH model years) Subaru Forester XT. I've read reports of the stock plastic intercooler losing pressure because the tanks separate. I have an intercooler very similar to this on another Forester and am able to hold 24psi (with a VF52 turbo and other supporting modifications) running on E85. This is a solid piece, especially at the price.The only things I do not like about this intercooler are: 1) it did not arrive with a intercooler-to-turbo gasket and no instructions; 2) I'm not really keen on the metallic paint and would have preferred raw aluminum (though I've read that the correct paint really has minimal effect on the intercooler performance). The gasket recommended for use with this intercooler is a Mr Gasket and I've included a picture of the package it is found in at most local auto parts stores, or even here on Amazon. Ihave also used a Dremel tool to cut some of the engine cover plastic away so it will fit over this intercooler and air will go through all the channels. I have not included a picture of the cover, but if you can install the intercooler I'm sure you can figure out how much needs cut away.I am very happy with my purchase and have piece of mind that it will likely outlast the life of the automobile.
