i had the metal gears on my boxster installed 4 year ago they broke so i decided to go with this one now, the parts are slightly off on measurement but the biggest issue is you can not fit the drive shaft thru the mid hole you will have to drill it (if you don't have the right toll don't even try ) ....I don't expect that to survive one summer because i had to drill it out,,,updated it didn't survived missed the return date on the replacement part and paid twice and learned my lesson order from another supply

Don't buy this. The centre hole is too mall to fit over the metal pin that locates it. There is a plastic/nylon one that reuses the metal centre from your broken gear that fits perfectly. The all metal one doest fit either as the edges of the gears aren'y beveled so it binds up and won't turn. Search youtube for my detailed video fixing the broken Boxster roof Transmission gears with the problems I encountered and a how too.Video is called Boxster Roof Transmission Fix

2006 Porsche Boxster 987Diameter of center hole is just a little too small and the even if you drill it out the gear itself pushes too hard against the worm gear that drives it. Even a new top motor didn't have enough power to turn the transmission.
