This cage served a purpose as temporary housing for a macaw on a boat until our house was ready to move into it .. wouldn’t recommend as a macaw cage long term due to the size . But worked perfect for us .. for 2 weeks

Cage seems great, but I was sent a cage with the wrong door closure. I specifically picked this cage for the gold closure shown in the photos because the silver hook closure is easily opened by my bird. I would recommend this cage other than that. Now I have to put an extra lock to keep him from opening the door.

I have to first congratulate both UPS and whoever packs these cages for shipping.I was leery about ordering this cage since I had doubts it would arrive in good condition, but it did. No damage to box or contents which is kinda amazing. Welds are smooth at all joints and the powder coat finish is nicely done which is impressive since this cage is not that expensive when compared to others in box stores. Additionally I was able to put it together on my own. Only complaint is the directions could be a little clearer for those who aren’t handy person types.After having the cage for several weeks I’d like to add additional information: the cage is nice but it does have a designs flaw. There are no horizontal cross bars on the front or rear panels of the cage making it difficult for my parrot to climb. Additionally, the bars could be spaced slightly closer together to make it easier for my Amazon parrot to grip when he is climbing. I’ve added some rope ladders on the inside and outside of the cage to help him get around easier, but both design features should have been considered before it was built.

I was about to give this 4 starts and then we finished putting it together. The initial advertised measurements are NOT the size of the cage and are likely the size of the product with the panels installed. Kind of deceptive. Putting it together isn't terrible BUT there are pieces where you can see they intended to drill holes in the metal yet didn't AND the splash panels don't fit together properly at all. We had to put half of it together before realizing parts weren't going to fit the way it intended and make sure our African Grey wouldn't get hurt. The splash panels arrived bent and were a major disappointment. In order to clean between the panels, we'll have to literally dismantle them first, clean it, then re-assemble it.Honestly, how are you supposed to return a cage like this once you've assembled it?

The enclosure was very easy to assemble, but a couple of the machine screws for the tray skirt didn’t allow nuts to thread. Absent that, I’m very happy with this cage for my Grey. He has adequate space, can perch on top safely (something he wasn’t able to do in his previous room). The seed and water cups are a little small for a medium hookbill (compared to what we used previously) but easily accessible. The tray slides out easily for cleaning.Happy I made the purchase.
