We've had some bitter cold this winter, and the hat keeps my head and ears warm. The face cover, however, is a bit difficult to work with. The loops don't really want to cooperate with the buttons on the sides. I'm not terribly bothered by this, as I rarely use the face cover, as I wear glasses, and there is NO face cover out there in the world that won't divert your breath and make you fog up your glasses - so I don't hold that against the product. It is quite warm, protective, and snow/rain proof.

Bought for son for a gift. He loves this fits perfect keeps him warm in the Maine winter air and snow. Some shedding but to be expected with real fur lining. Care is easy if you have ever had a real fur hat you know it takes different care. Aces on this hat Well worth it. Would recommend.

Ordered this Ushanka Russian Skiing Hat as I have a cheaper made one that I love wearing up here in the Montana winters. The rabbit fur is super soft and I can't wait to try it out in the snow.As far as the build quality the item comes with a tag that indicates it was made in china with a $68 MSRP. The online description is not clear on where it was manufactured. I tested the exterior material in the sink and it did indeed shed water very well. It has these flaps on the side by the ears which I think are meant to attach the face mask and perhaps goggles? Speaking of the face mask it appears pretty thin and the elastic bands appear like they may not hold up. Nice idea but maybe not very functional. The stitching seems to be of good quality. The fur is really nice and is on the exterior forehead, the ear flaps and neck and sure looks like the neck and ear piece is contiguous. The interior head piece is fabric as shown in my pictures.On the down side it seems a little bit thin insulation wise on the top of the head. You can see that a little bit in the picture I took, feels like the vendor picture makes it look really puffed up.Overall I like it and cant wait to try it out hunting this fall. My pointer puppy smelled the fur and tried to make off with it. Think the vendor could work on the description and text some, the 100% Rabbit fur is a little bit misleading and if you are going to say where it is made; 'domestic or imported' doesn't really mean anything. Didn't shed for me at all.
