The TOPGREENER TG8882B recessed pass-through wall plate provides a simple solution for running low-voltage cables inside of walls. The cable wall plate is designed to cover wall openings while allowing important cables to pass through, and it can be installed facing either up or down so that you can run your cable communications in any direction you desire. This cable access wall plate covers a standard double gang wall box and is designed to be installed onto a low voltage mounting bracket, which is included in this bundle. The mounting bracket allows you to cut a hole anywhere in the wall to feed cables through, so you can easily mount the wall plate anywhere, not just where a cable box is located. The recessed pass-through wall plate is made from unbreakable Polycarbonate Thermoplastic for its long-lasting durability and resistance to heat and fading. The material can withstand heat up to 140°C to ensure safety and longevity. The angled, recessed opening protects cables against accidental wire stripping or being tripped over, and it allows cables to pass through with a clean finish. This pass-through wall plate has a professional look, keeping your low-voltage cables safe and all together. Not the most durable, and not the cheapest, but they are easy to work with. Looks alright and does it's job. Doesn't feel flimsy when trying to run cables through it.

I wanted to run my tv cords behind the wall and kits that are made specifically for that purpose are expensive for some reason. I figured there had to be a way to just buy the plates and I found these. One tip I would give is to run the cords through the bottom hole in the wall before you install the plate. It was much easier to get them out of the wall at the bottom that way.

My 17 year old daughter installed these with no problems. They work exactly as I'd expected.I don't know why this product would get low ratings from others just because the "builder" did something unfortunate. If the wall is open (I.e. no studs) between the 2 openings you are adding these to, then it will work fine. I have the one on the bottom with the hold pointing up, and the one on the top with the hold pointing down.
