Safe Volume, so you don't get shocked: The safe volume feature on Pre90 will kick in when the saved volume ofle target input or output exceeds the set safe volume, and reduce thoutput to safe volume, protecting your expensive equipments and yourpriceless hearing. The safe volume function can be turned off in thesettings.
Ultra-high Performance NFCA modules: Pre90 uses the similar NFCA ( Nested Feedback Composite Amplifier )module from flagship A90 Voltage Current hybrid feedback architecturelong with UHGF ( Ultra High Gain Feedback ) technology provides excellent DC and AC performance. Ultra-low noise of 0.3uv is milesahead of the competition, giving an absurdly high dynamic range of 145db and no audible noise and darkest background.
Relay volume control: A large number of high quality Japanese small signal relayIsed fovolume control of Pre90. Brings the advantages of precise control remote control, longevity, and complete channel balanceIf the volume was set high while turn on or switch in, Pre90 will automatically reduced to a safe volume to avoid your speakers/headphones blown by sudden high volume.
A wire with amplification: An excellent preamp should have top performance, just like a wire that can amplify signals. As you can see, Pre90 did it.
Ext90 could extend you more inputs: A standard Pre90 provide you 1 x RCA and 1 x XLR stereo inputs. But when it working with a Ext90, they could provide totally 2 x RCA and 4 x XLR stereo inputs. This is enough for multi source systems.
Note: The actual noise level is obtained by boosting the noiseof Pre90 by 40db using a low noise amplifier in front of the APX555B then dividing the measured noise by 100 times.

Now this is some pre amp. It does take a good while to burn in. And when it does it sounds excellent. Detailed and musical. Most notable is how it conveys the rhythm of the music being played. I find the overall balance very pleasing. The tonal balance is excellent. I find the detail particularly enjoyable, without being harsh. The instruments in the band are well presented. There is some nice punch to the music. When guest have listen to the gear they comment on how wonderful the sound is. I am a fan of old school solid state gear. These preamp conveys that sense, but with far more accuracy. It is almost like a modern version of a Saul Marantz amp. I am using a very good integrated amp, I disconnected the bridge, and and use the amp section only. I always thought the integrated amp was a little shy on the bottom and very top end. And I always thought it was the preamp section. I was right. The power section puts out 180 watts into 8ohms and 340 into 4 ohms. So lots of very clean power. The pre amp defiantly show this off. Very please with the results on adding the pre amp to my system. It makes everything Sing Sing Sing!

Using for hi fi system; sound quality excellent. Saw lots of complaints about remote; however for me it works fine (5-6 ft away, pointing at same level). Recommend.

It's my first preamp and I'm impressed with what it brings in terms of gain, low end control and high end spark. It is not completely transparent but transparent enough. Aside from the remote-control directionality issues I don't find any fault with this preamp. That said, I must state that the seller Aoshida HiFI-US sent me a second-hand item with residue on the protective film on the screen and on the preamp’s feet. The silicone protectors on the RCA connections were missing. If I had bought it secondhand I wouldn't have any problem because the unit is in perfect condition, but I paid full price for a new item and I feel cheated. The seller contacted me with a string of excuses and promised a refund for the difference between the used and new item which I have not yet received.

Maybe good for some but not up to the price. MI’ve basic preamp which has 3.3 vrms output to single ended rca and 320 ohm impedance.Pre90 have 25 vrms output and 20 ohms impedance, they perform mostly the same using my Rotel amp driving my b&ws 706 s2So not a great preamp in my case. No sound improvement. Spend some more and get denafrips hysteria.

I have been an audiophile for decades and can’t believe how much you get today for so little money. But such is the advancement of science and technology… better, cheaper! Don’t get me wrong, you still have to know what you are doing. This is a Excellent piece of audio gear and “extremely transparent”!!!
