So I purchased my first solar generator with a 60-watt portable solar panel. The highest wattage output i have gotten on a blue-sky sunny day is ~40. I then upgraded to a '120 watt' portable style panel. It maxes out at about 60-80 watt. Also when it is a bit hazy sunny neither actually work at all. I purchased my new generator with 3x the capacity of my first one so I need something which could deliver a lot higher charge rate. I purchased the 200 watt panel kit (2 100w panels). I have only tried these for a short bit but they have proven they are FAR superior to the portable styles i already own. I had a mostly cloudy day trial yesterday. When the sun was mostly covered but somewhat bright i at least was getting 30-40 watts. When the sun peaked out for nearly full sun the rate jumped up to 180 watts. I'll be purchasing another set of these for sure.

I Made the mistake of not testing this till after the 30 day prime return window closed. On the initial use it too almost 2 hours in direct sunlight to start charging above 4 watts. Once it did start I could never get above 80 watts with no obstructions on a 100 watt panel, angled toward the sun and in 100% direct sunlight. At 80 watts max charge it immediately dropped to 30 when just the shadow of my hand passed over it. With an 8”x8” cloth on the corner it dropped all the way to 3 watts (basically not charging). When I contacted support they asked for videos but won’t accept the video type from my IPhone and have a small file size limit. I asked for an email address to send the videos to and was ignored. When I questioned the max 80% charge and the fact that a shadow on a very small part of the panel renders it useless they just gave me a stock response saying the efficiency depends on the amount of sunlight.Just so you understand, it was a cloudless sunny day in southern Nevada in the open so you don’t get much more sun than that.I had planned to add a second panel and now will end up buying 2 from someone else.If you choose to buy this brand, TEST IT THE DAY IT ARRIVES so you have time to return it if you have the same poor performance I got. The customer service is terrible and useless.

First off, for anyone wondering these are not the same panels as the older version of the 170 watt, but same size. I've ended up with about half of the old style and half of the new style...but close enough in specs. They are easy to connect, do your research but you almost can't hook these up wrong. They are a good value for the money, especially for those of use who don't have the budget to order a whole pallet at a time. The size seems to be a little bigger than the standard 100 watt panels, but not too large thar you can't handle them by yourself. Seems to be very durable, however the plastic corners often get broken off during shipping. Would be awesome to see a pack of replacements from the manufacturer. I haven't researched these vs other panels admittedly, but seems to be pretty efficient. Two panels hooked up to a 1100 watt inverter and an upgraded solar charge controller will run 150 watts or so almost all day and night hooked up to two 12 v batteries (largest AGM from Bass Pro). I've ran TV's and wifi, grill, fans, ect...obviously depends on your setup but will charge your solar batteries and do what is needed for a good battery life.

È stato utilizzato in una barca x tenere sempre in carica 2 batterie da 100 Amp.Ottimo prodotto, lo consiglio.P.s. prima collegare la centralina alle batterie ed infine al pannello.

This is my 2nd TP Solar kit. My 1st one went with my toy hauler I sold. Bought a Class C and went with TP again and was really happy. Last week my controller acted up. I hadn't purchased an extended warranty but reached out and asked how long these should last and it hadn't made it a year. Within an hour I had a response asking for my address so they could ship me a new one. No questions what so ever. It showed up 4 days later, plugged it in and perfect! These may be affordable, but well worth it and with that kind of customer service, I'll be purchasing from them again and recommending them to anyone I know wanting to go with solar. Thanks again!!!

This panel is used to recharge an RV deep cycle battery while stored and when dry camping in more remote areas. The monitoring device system and cables that come with the kit were attached, by me, to a Furrion 10 Amp connection device (not included in the kit). I use the panel and equipment as portable, not rooftop fixed, in order to gain/aim at the sun to land perpendicular on the panel itself throughout the day.Two problems encountered:1. The black and red cables that insert in to the monitoring device will tend to fall out of the screw down clamps at times. I have to frequently check them to make sure that use and vibration do not loosen the cables. Two of the four clamps seem prone to loosening. Needed is the largest Phillips head screwdriver from a glasses repair kit to tighten these screws.2. I had to re-solder the electrical connection points of the cables in the box on the back side of the solar panel. These fell (broke) off because the amount of solder used by the manufacturer (or its robot) was far too skimpy. I added much more silver-based electrical solder this time, clamping everything back down on the cover. It will never come loose again.Otherwise, the panel and the monitoring system has done the job of both recharging the battery, maintaining the battery and for day use. We camped at Big Bend National Park in west Texas (no hookups) and went six days with no power shortage whatsoever. We did the same at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore (no hookups) on the LP of Michigan, as well as many remote UP campsites along Lake Superior (much lower sun angle there), and we still had no issues with electrical supply day or night. The system did the job, just what was needed for dry camping.Note: The panel performs more efficiently on colder days than on hot days.
