Returned back to the sprinkler system that I have used before today's sprinkler system. Easy to set up and adjust what area is covered.

Good options for setting spray pattern and volume. Easier to order on Amazon than hunting around at local stores and paying more.

I have been installing sprinklers in my home for at least 20 years. And I learned something from this sprinklers instructions that obviously I hadn't learned before. These sprinklers come set up for normal City water pressure. I am one of the few people that have my own well for watering my lawn. The issue is that this type of system generally has less pressure than city water. The instructions that came with this explained that there is a spring in the center of the sprinkler, and if this sprinkler seems to not be able to oscillate easily, you loosen the tension on that spring by making that spring move back one notch looser. This makes it easier for the sprinkler to oscillate. Keep this info in mind before you return the sprinkler because you think it's not working consider your water pressure and adjust accordingly.

Replaced an existing sprinkler in the middle of a 4 set line. When the water turned on, would not start rotating without me manually starting it, not exactly what you are looking for with automated sprinklers. With the water off, It seemed to rotate without a problem, and I tried to lube it with wd-40, but nothing worked. Not sure why it wouldn't work, but it didn't, a lot of work installing/removing it for nothing.

Some buyers will not like this sprinkler because it gets everything wet with it's long distance spray.I like it because it shoots up to 45 feet (depending on water pressure, nozzle insert and adjustment). I was able to cover most of my yard by mounting just a few sprinklers around the perimeter of the yard. I did not have to dig trenches all over my yard and buy a hundred sprinkler heads plus hundreds of feet of underground piping. Replacing malfunctioning underground heads would have become a nightmare. For maximum water volume and distance, use 3/4 inch or larger black semi-flexible hose (Comes in 100 foot rolls from Home Depot). I mounted the sprinkler heads above ground in the flower beds, on top of a rock pile, at corner of house and on the side of a fence.Every year a have to replace one or two because they eventually stick or wear out. Replacement is easy.Toro specs: Part#53721- Universal Impact Sprinkler - 45. Inlet: combination ½" or ¾" female pipe connection at bottom, ½" side connection.
