A good Type 43 core that is the correct size and a good value for the cost. No pitting or defects noted. Using these for a 2xFT240-43 9:1 End-Fed, and I can't tell any difference between this one and ones from 'major manufacturers' based on side-by-side comparison in duplicate 9:1's built.

Made a 49:1 balun for an EFHW antenna and from an SWR perspective, it was very close to other cores that I have used, so the material is definitely correct. The shape depicted on the marketing photo is correct, so its a little different that others, but it will work. The price is right as well!

This toroid on a par with other manufacturers, and I used it for a 49:1 balun and added it to my Field Day kit. Edges are not sharp, so they won't nick the wire you wrap on them, and the profile is slightly rounded, to keep your wire in close proximity to the ferrite.

I used this torroid to make an RF choke for an HF radio and it is working well. It has reduced common mode currents and dropped the noise floor down to an acceptable level. Its the right size for many uses such as a transformer for an antenna and priced right at $10 at the time of this review.

Regular 240-43 toroid for radio projects.Has beveled outer edges for easier winding of stiff wire.I haven't put it on the VNA yet, so will update this review if I find any surprises.

I use these magnets to hold tools up on the wall, and for that purpose these work fantastically. They are strong enough magnets to hold up heavy tools and they work well with anything that has a significant amount of ferrous steel on them.I also use these magnets to filter out particles containing iron in my shower water pipe. Because the magnet is monopole magnetic N, it makes the water north magnetic water. Magnetized water is supposedly good for your health and so I decided to use this magnet for that purpose. So far so good. These magnets are perfectly concentric, smoothto the touch and convex on both sides. The outer side is flat. I understand these are used for noise reduction along power cords and or electric components and I'm sure it will work well for that purpose. For my off label uses these magnets also fit the bill. Because of the perfectly round nature, fits around faucets or pipes perfectly. And the magnetism is definitely strong enough.

I had just set up my new 80m EFHW antenna and was getting a lot of noise on the line. I had placed a few ferrite chokes on the line but still was getting a lot of interference. My ground wire looked good, and I didn't have any other shorts in the system. Adding this ferrite core to the antenna end, I was able to reduce the background noise back down to nominal levels. It's always great to have a couple of these laying around to help build out your next balun, and at $9.99, it's a great value for a toroid ferrite core.

The molding of this toroid has some slight pitting on the surface indicating it isn't the highest quality of manufacturing. That being said, the rounded shape is nice and makes it quite easy for winding wires on.This is just the ticket I needed for making an end fed-half wave antenna for HF, and experimenting on how I can possibly make one for 80 meters that's a little shorter than a full half wave to fit my piece of property.
