Undeniably stiffer than the 12-year old rubber of my 04-WRX, but the hole didn't fit the rod very snug. So I wrapped electrical tape around the end to make it barely able to fit... this created a much more connected feel with the transmission.Fit was perfect and bolts were good quality. Great purchase

This is an exact replica of what Kart Boy makes but at half the price. Buy it and enjoy smoother crisper shifts. I installed this on my 2001 Subaru Legacy and now enjoy the excellent solid feedback this gives during shifts. Easy decision. Buy it.

this product is really tricky to install. Not the removal of the stuff to get where it goes but the actual installation of the bolts into the original holes. It requires a good bit of flexing because it doesnt mount to a flat surface. But once you get it installed it really does firm up the shifter feel. You ought to do the front bushing as well (circular) which firms up the front to back movement, this rear bushing firms up the side to side movement.

the guy that talked crap about this bushing and gave it 2 stars on a previous review was trying to install this on an sti which is a 6 speed. this is CLEARLY stated to be a 5 speed bushing so I can see why you would have fitment issues trying to install the wrong part for your application lol

I had zero install issues as some have mentioned. I greased all my bushings for a smooth install and also removed the entire shifter assembly as i was installing Torque solution front shifter bushings and TiC 5mt shift linkage as well!Very firm shifts now! No more slop and way better than a new shift assembly could perform.

I bought this rear shifter bushing for my 04 sti to replace the factory unit that was worn out. I purchased this brand over Cobb and Kart boy because this one in made in the U.S. and has a lifetime warranty. Unfortunately I must give it 2 stars because of the poor fitment when installing the unit. With one bolt installed, the other bolt hole was almost 1/16 off of its corresponding bolt hole in the car. Installation would be impossible without considerable prying on the bushing with a pry bar. For such a simple part I thought this type of poor fitment was unacceptable, hence the 2 stars. Save yourself time, and a headache and just buy a better brand.

I can't complain about the product. I installed this and the round forward shifter bushing at the same time. Didn't take very long and I wouldn't recommend against it (them). However, I was a bit underwhelmed with the change. I could feed it took a bit of slop out of the shift action but a couple of bushing aren't going to work miracles. If it was possible, I'd probably give them around 3.5 stars. I think it largely depends on the purchaser's expectations.
