The item I received was definitely not new. The leather was dirty and there was rust on the metal.

I don't like this one as much as others I own. I like the seahorse hackamore the best. This one has really long shanked if you need that much control your better off with a bit

It was perfect, my horse Simon and I used it in a X Mas parade, he was a perfect gentleman.

I didn't know the sizing and bought it on whim, and it didn't fit my baby doll-faced 14.2 ponies. almost but will either return it or punch a few holes into it. Plus it moved around a lot on her face even when attached to the bridle.
