This bit worked very well on my horse. He didn't worry about the new feel after his old bit, and he responded nicely. The extra room for his tongue made him more relaxed, less distracted by the bit. Another riding friend got the same positive response with her horse, too.

I bought this bit from another seller about a year ago and I can't really complain about it's functionality, it's a decent enough bit, it's well balanced and the shanks operate smoothly. It's got a bit more "play" in the shank joints than some of my other, similarly made bits but that's not necessarily a bad thing, just a different feel. My biggest problem with this bit is that it has not been finished out the way that it should. The barrel part of the shank joint on the mouthpiece is not smooth. They are abrupt and, in some places, sharp and jagged. I managed to cut myself on it once before I took a metal file to it to smooth out those rough edges. I was lucky that it didn't cut/pinch one of my horses before I did that or I would be writing a much more derogatory review, probably in anger.If the manufacturer would take a couple extra minutes to remedy that issue, then this would be a very good quality bit, especially for the price.
