The plastic that connects the knob to the mechanism that moves the contacts along the circuit board to change speeds had broken. I was moving that little contact piece in the circular track to change fan speeds. Removed the trim, loosened the radio bolts and was able to get at the back of the climate control panel just enough to disconnect the broken switch cable, pop it from the panel, and replace with this switch. It works perfectly. The mechanic wanted to replace the entire panel, quoted me $650 CAD. Though this switch used to be about $80 - 100, it still saved me money and got the job done.
