One thing that's lacking on Tesla is trunk lights. This product did the job and at the same time made the truck look elegant. Price is reasonable and the length is perfect. Loved it the first day after installing it.

It came well packaged and with installation instructions, really simple to DIY to add good lighting for daily uses and ambient light for camping purposes. Definitely recommended it for adding good functionality and looks to my model Y.

Couple things.1. This thing doesn't add much light. If you are buying this in hopes that you will gain more visibility in your trunk at night, you should skip it. It doesn't add much light into the trunk at all. It looks cool, but that's about the extent of it.2. There is no memory function. This is my biggest con. It defaults to 6000k every time. You can press a button and switch it to the warmer 3000k temperature, but when the car goes to sleep and turns off the DC port, this light resets back to 6000k. This is a huge bummer for me.3. The people saying it randomly turns on must have installed it incorrectly. It simply does not do that. They even include a reflective sticker to add to your hatch to prevent this from happening.4. The light strip should be wider. If you push it all the way in under the weather stripping, it gets covered up enough to where you can barely see the light. I had to sort of pull it out a bit from the weather stripping so it would at least shine some light in.If I could go back, I would skip this. It's not worth it, but it's also not worth it for me to pack it up and return it either so I'm leaving it on the car.

Really like this. Was not expensive. Very easy to install. Bright light when you open the trunk.

It was easy to install. The fit is nice, and the sensor is nice and thin. I did not have to install the silver square patch for the sensor. Light comes on when it is dark. When daylight out, it remains off when the lid is open. Light at night goes off immediately when the lid is closed. The fit is exact, not short or long in length. TPARTS has a good product for model Y 2023. Adds the right amount of light. Thank You.

This was relatively easy to install - had to go back around and get things settled under the seal properly in certain areas, but it fits well in my Model Y. I love the light it provides. There’s something slightly off with the look, which is hard to explain - it’s not bad necessarily, just it doesn’t look as even as other photos due to where the seal sits in certain spots. This may settle out once the trunk opens and closes a few times. Overall, I’m happy and I love the light improvement!The first time I parked in a parking garage however…..the lights turned on when the trunk wasn’t open. Tried to reposition the sensor - definitely needs to be in a place the door shades when closed, which makes sense. A parking garage light was shining in on it and turning it on.
