I have used this wheel for almost 9 years and it finally quit on me. I have used it probably a few thousand feet a month over that time. You do the math. It rolls nicely, is easy to read, the kickstand locks up or down pretty crisply (and is completely out of the way when not in use, unlike other brands). The folding mechanism is a bit unorthodox but aside from crushing my fingers in it once, it never gave me issues. A few days ago, I used it to measure one site (under 100ft total), left it folded open in the backseat to drive to my next site 15min away, and when I got there, the reset wouldn't work. It still had the spring intact but it felt different than usual, like there was less resistance, and the sound was just different than before. Definitely something internal has happened. I never threw it around, never used in the rain, always stored it in its bag, and every night it was left hanging by the bag's strap in my garage. I took good care of it and I guess it lasted me a solid while. I came here to possibly buy another exact one but see they don't offer it anymore. Guess I'll look at something else.

This measuring wheel is definitely a "keeper". It gives repeatable readings over rough terrain. I used it for measuring a large grassy lot, and also for measuring a rough outline of a proposed driveway over a bumpy grassy area. The accuracy is pretty good-- my repeated measurements gave results that were always within a few inches of one another. Works on bumpy grass and also on gravel. Folds to fit into carry pouch. I looked at the many offerings on Amazon, and I could see that the lower-priced wheels consistently had lower ratings due to accuracy issues. So, I opted to go into the mid-level priced wheels. This one had great ratings and was not too expensive. Also, it gives readings in feet and inches. This makes it so much easier than having to convert from decimal readings in feet -- as many other wheels require.

Easy to use, does the job as it should. seems to be accurateand it’s well priced. The quality is great, and it’s study. The option to fold it down and tuck into the bag provided makes it easy to take to job sites. Overall very happy with the product and I would recommend it.

I really like this measuring wheel very much. Some reviews say it's flimsy, I cannot say that. I also like that it is mechanical and not electronic. I have an electronic one, yes, you can do all kind of fancy stuff with it, also switch between imperial and metric , and it remembers distances, and you have a light, which you actually need because the numbers are not easy visible. Now this one does not measure correctly anymore, I guess because of weak battery, and you cannot exchange it!!?!I ordered this mechanical wheel, and I really like it, and there is no battery to deal with. The numbers are easy to read, and when you need metric, ok, then you have to convert it, no big deal!!And when you need to measure different distances then I have to take a note pad, also no big deal, did that with the other one as well.So altogether I am very happy with it and the price is awesome! I can strongly recommend it!

Great on all accounts except the mechanism to lock bar in place is no the easiest to use but it works and it sturdy.

Nice wheel, heavy, works good accurate measurement. I am an insurance inspector and have to measure buildings for values and to get square footage. I had a Stanley I bought some time ago for $100 charged to work and it fell apart handle broke etc it was just wobbly. This one is good, recommend it especially for the price. This small ones at harbor freight don't work well at all. Buy this one if you need a wheel, it seems fine. The handle works ok you just have to line it up before locking into place.

Got this to help plan outdoor projects and it works great. Much cheaper than other alternatives. Seems to be very solidly made. I won't be using it commercially / for real estate so I won't be able to assess it on a frequent-use basis.I was concerned since the stated size of it seemed to indicate that I would have to stoop to use it but that is not the case. I am about 6' and using it was no problem. It folds compactly and has a nice storage bag.Overall, highly recommended.

Great price for this type of measuring device. Yes it has some plastic parts but it operates as it should and measures accurately. Folds up quickly into tote bag included in the purchase price.

This is terrific. Very affordable and easy to use. Comes with a carrying bag, and a folding handle. Seems to work well, and appears to be well made. I'm glad I trusted the other positive reviews, and went with this model. It's perfect for home use, around the yard for measuring out garden beds and such.

this is a great little device. Very accurate and easy to use and it is built well. I'm so glad I purchased it as it has saved me from over purchasing large gage electrical wire that is not cheap. I've measured several times and always within a foot or two over a 400 foot run and checked and checked with a 50 foot and 100 foot tape measure and it is always right on plus or minus and inch or two. the kickstand works well too!
