Light output is decent, the projected pictures show up great on paper. The markers work very well and easy to open and close. The learning curve for not blocking the light was a bit of a fight with the little one but it all worked out now she is having fun and tracing new things.

This trace and draw projector is a really fun and neat concept. My kids love playing with it and have spent hours tracing with it so far. Functionally, it does work, but it has some flaws that I feel could be improved upon. The biggest of which is that it is possible to get the projector to focus well. No matter what we do some part of the image is always blurry. This doesn't;t make it unusable, but it does limit the accuracy of how well the images can be traced. The 6 discs it comes with have a good variety of kid friendly images. However, the included booklet and markers are not that great. The booklet is very small and barely fits one image on the page. The markers appear the be the same markers that came with my kids dry erase chore board. So likely plan on supplying your own paper and drawing utensils.Overall, I think it is a great concept, and with some minor tweaking could be made to be a much better offering.

The Trace and Draw Projector was a hit with the little ones at first, but they lost interest pretty quickly. It’s a very basic setup, and while it works as advertised, it didn’t keep them engaged for long.My daughter mentioned it got a bit hot during use and that it needed more batteries than expected, so be prepared if you're gifting it. Not a bad toy for a short burst of fun, but probably better suited for very young kids with short attention spans.

This was an immediate hit for my 5yo who LOVES art and anything dinosaur! There is nothing, from her perspective, that is wrong with it.I really like it but I do want to give some feedback that some might find helpful.- The designs included range from an apple to two people practicing karate. I guess you can say there are different levels of difficulty for each disc—some being rather detailed- the outlines of the designs are not a uniform line—they taper off and are a bit hard for a kid to copy without a calligraphy pen or something- The plastic is very light and I’m scared it might fall and crack at some point- Even though it’s a cool toy and my kid loves it, I wouldn’t buy it as a gift for a friend—it feels cheap, and the paint is also kind of smeared- One fun positive is that it now doubles as a reading light! The batteries, I’m sure, are not going to last long if my kiddo is using it as a nightlight but it absolutely could double as one!Overall, and in despite of the criticisms, it’s a fun toy that is broadening my kiddos artistic abilities.

The good: This is a neat little toy that will be entertaining for children. The light is fairly bright and projects a good clear picture that can be traced. It comes with multiple little discs, each having multiple pictures on it. It works like an style slide projector, except there is no way to change out the pictures on any disc. It’s easy to operate. It comes with a little book with blank paper in it for tracing. It is a little small but does work. A recommendation is to tape down the paper being traced on so it doesn’t slide around while tracing. The bad: This projector is not made with high quality so it may not take to much abuse. The bulb providing the light for tracing gets hot after being in operation for a little while so some caution with young children may be needed. The screw holding the battery compartment was a little difficult to get out but pulling on the release tab while unscrewing the screw worked well. The box indicates that it takes 2 AAA batteries but in reality we had to put in 3 AA batteries.Overall: I like this projector for little kids. This can be a fun thing to do with little children.

I tutor an Afghani refugee little girl at a local elementary school. I often get art projects for her on Amazon. A mere few months ago a projector exactly like this was exciting and fun for her and cost about the same. I decided to get another one this week. This time the quality is what you would find at a dollar store...a cheap toy with tiny auxiliary parts, as if someone told the maker to figure out a way to offer it for the same amount of money but produce it so it only cost half as much to make. I am guessing this is what happened here. I would never use this...it is a facsimile of a toy, and not worth half the amount they are charging.
