I purchased this thermometer in May 2023 to suspend and monitor temperature in a water bath. A 2-inch section of the probe was suspended in water heated to a target temperature of 42C. As of Nov2023, the probe is stuck on an incorrect read of -39C even after the battery was replaced and the thermometer was recalibrated. Unfortunately, the Amazon window to enquire about replacement/repair closed in September. Do not purchase this item.
