I shined this on my own artwork to see how well they would light my artwork, it wasn't very good. I also just shined them on the wall behind the light and I could see the center of the light is white but it turns yellow towards the edges.Oh, and they don't have a remote control so they're only controlled by a light switch.

About 80% of the light pattern these lights cast is very slightly cool (bluish), not completely neutral, and that area is surrounded by a blurry pale yellow ring. Because of the change in color from the center to the outside edge, these would not be suitable for illuminating any kind of artwork.I tested two and they both had this pattern, so I expect all of them to.Other than the problem with the color unevenness, the lights are quite nice. The are attractive and solidly built. They were easy to install and aim, and they're quite bright. They don't rotate quite 360 degrees and the first one I tried wouldn't point directly at the wall because it wouldn't turn there. But another light had a different direction that it wouldn't point, so I was able to get one directly in front of a picture hanging on the wall.I tried to replace the bulb with another one, both having standard GU10 bases, but had a hard time because the bulb that comes in this fixture is very slightly deeper than the one I tried replacing it with. I wasn't able to get a grip on the new bulb when trying to twist it into the socket.The light is somewhere between a spot and a floodlight. If you don't mind the color inconsistency, these could be good lights for you.
