This was not a Yukon unit like others have claimed. But I can’t complain was not listed as Yukon seems nice for the price but definitely not a Yukon.

Installed in my 82 F150. Excellent Yukon differential, clutches are set up very tight. After a year on the street I can still feel the inside tire on a tight turn trying to chirp a little.Update.. Almost 3 years and still nice and tight. Excellent rear differential, very high quality.

When I installed the unit the posi carrier hit the pinion support. You can see how far off it is in my picture. I called Yukon and after a long time oh hold I described the problem. They told me that they routinely grind the cases for clearance. Said the most used tool on their bench was a grinder. I wish there would have been something in the instructions about it. Lost an entire week of driving the car because I started this on the weekend and had to wait til next weekend to finish it.

Very nice unit! Be sure to order bolts to fit!Ratech 1305 Ring Gear Bolt sold at Amazon.Original bolts don't fit! Used in a 73 open rear...Had to open up the bolt head valley in the case(lengthen it from top to bottom).Expect to do some precision grinding if you have an open-gear case.
