We used it on a cargo rack, that normally rattles, rocks, and sways as we drive. Bought this just before making a 2400 mile road trip and it worked great. It held the cargo rack stable, and was easy to install.I had held the rack with ratchet straps before, only for them to come loose and drag. With the stability and fit of this attachment one can drive with no worries.An added bonus of security for your hitch as you need a wrench of socket to remove to remove it.

Mounted two of these on the receiver hitch. Both worked loose by end of days trip. One completely fell off.

Works fine, I recommend the nuts and extra threads up, vs down. I had mine down and scraped a few times and bent the extra threads. I still got it apart and was able to cut off extra threads and its fine.I dont think its stainless steel, more like zinc plated steel. I will check again and correct this if I'm wrong.
