Good quality product. I bought another one for a ten meter whip antenna for my vehicle. No need to spend ridiculous amounts of money. This works pretty good for the bucks.73 Earnest K5EWM.

I have a 3-mag mount on the roof of my truck that this connects my HAM sticks to with ease. There's no play in either side of the connection. Feels solidly built that could with stand permanent installation.

My friend has this adapter to go between MNO and 3/8 24 recommended to me so I bought the same one and this thing is great. I have a 5ft whip antenna for 20 meter band. I added a small amount of never seize to it since I don't plan to remove it for awhile. I would recommend this to you.

Well-made, only experience will tell how it stands up to an 8-foot Hamstick.Smaller than a ball mount, and modern cars don't have bumpers, so this is it.

As a ham radio operator these are ideal for adapting a variety of antennae to my radios. A great product and a reasonable price.

Very nicely made product. The fit and finish couldn't be better and the style is very nice. A quality spring loaded pin inside should keep contact with the NMO center pad. The metals used appear high quality. There are no apparent compromises with this adapter and I expect it should last in a mobile environment. Excellent price.

I am using this in combination with and to attach a 102" steel whip to the top of my truck's roof for my cb. It was easy to install, swr is at a .5 and the adapter is holding up well so far even after highway speed travel and hitting the antenna on a multitude of low cable/phone lines.

The bottom is chrome plated steel, and the insert for the antenna (3/8-24) looks like stainless. There's an o-ring on the bottom, but it is loose in the groove and can fall out. It also compresses too much and isn't an excellent seal when screwed down because of this. So far it's kept out water. But I think that, with wear, the seal will be a problem. O-rings aren't expensive, so it won't be a big deal to replace it, but on the other hand, why did Tram use such a cheap one when they aren't expensive in the first place?I used this to attach to a magnetic mount, which allowed me to use a couple of "Hamstick"-type antennae (6 and 10 M) on my car - though not while it was moving. I didn't trust the mount to hold while moving, but the adapter was solid on the mount. If you want to use an NMO mount (magnetic, trunk lid, mirror-mount, whatever) with a Firestik (CB), a straight whip, or Hamstick (ham) antenna, this is what you need. This part, by itself, will not mount to your car. It's not a mount; it's an thread adapter *for* a mount.
