The inset groove around the base allow it to fit STABLY (MUCH more so than Vargos $40. Ti version) atop the Vargo BOTs. Ti is much harder to work with to form such grooves, but this one, even though Al, is just vastly more functional than Vargos as I can use it as a lid/upper cooker-eg. spaghetti sauce while boiling noodles below or gravy while boiling potatoes or boil in bag rice below, or to prewarm tea or coffee while boiling eggs below. The weight of this cup with contents also exerts firm, sealed downward pressure on your BOT or SAS pot, noticeably lowering boil time AND saving fuel!!! Gotta love it. Save $32 and get a much more safer, better fitting cup for your BOT by buying this wonderful accessory!

I wish it had a lid.....buy you can buy a "large" kettle lid it will fix
