In the picture it shows what appears to be a fiber gasket and that is why I ordered it. The filter seems good, but the gasket they include is a thick rubber gasket. When you try to torque the bolts the gasket will distort and bulge and leak (I know from experience). Rubber gaskets are for valve covers etc where there is a shallow pocket the gasket fits into. The lip on each side of the pocket stops the gasket from squeezing out as you torque the bolts. GC and T&C have flat mating surfaces on the pan and trans. As you torque the bolts down to 12 ftlbs that gasket will distort.FMC technical bulletin I found on line:The Formed Rubber gasket is a special application gasket.These are used with the lipped style pans commonly seen inMercedes, Volkswagen, and BMW Transmissions. Thegasket is molded to shape and fits over the edge of the pan,the pan is then bolted up to the transmission and the sealmade.There is over 2 gallons of transmission fluid in there, do you want to redo this job?I will buy a different kit before proceeding.
