So I installed the new linkage and it worked great for a few months and then out of the blue it just stopped working and got stuck so I took it out and can't find anything wrong with it except the cable won't move back and forth and I tried with all my strength to pull it to try to work it back and forth but it won't budge so after writing this review the seller reached out and gave me full refund and apologized for the inconvenience which is awesome in my book so I changed from 1 star to 4 for the awesome customer service

Ford had discontinued the 1996 shift . So we went ahead and ordered the 1997 cable. Just a heads up for everybody. It fits works fine.
