Was this for an adult? It looks just like my old one but it’s child sized. I should’ve looked at the measurements more carefully. I’m not going to send it back because it’s my own fault. I’m 5’3” and 130 pounds and cannot fit in this chair. I’ll have to give it away and repurchase from someone else because it’s not comfortable either.

This is a tiny stool, period. I'm 5' 10" height, 160 lbs., and my knees were way above my hips, so you can imagine how difficult it would be for many people to rise from this apparatus. My 5 year old granddaughter tried it out, and it was a good fit for her, although still only has tripod stability. On uneven ground I imagine this would be an issue for any user, of any age. The construction seemed average to me: it was sewn appropriately, the tubular legs had a smooth finish, and it had a velcro strap to help hold it together (which some other's didn't feature). But it shouldn't be marketed to an adult.

It's small and lightweight. I am not sure I would trust the 300lb weight rating suggested, but for my 65-75 lb kids it's more than durable enough.Both of them tested it, and it would work fine for both.My older said if they were taking it for a comfy place to sit, especially base or car camping, they would want a "real chair". Read that as something with a back and likely arms. But they do see the benefit of the stool being so light for backpacking.My scale reads 403.5g or 14.22oz. This is pretty good because our lightest "lightweight" chair isn't at 41oz. Being able to save ~1.7lbs on a single item is huge for backpacking.Other stools I looked at seemed to not be quite this light, up to a lot higher... for no additional comfort. You can get a ULBP chair with a back that weighs close but will also be around 10x the price. If the kids get hardcore into BP'ing, maybe they will end up with something that nice. But till then this stool will do well.I do wish that the legs would clip, click, or magnet into place somehow. They are super floppy so you have to be a bit careful getting the stool initially set and yourself seated. But once on the ground and settled, everything feels sturdy.

The construction is fine, I just failed to notice it is only 2 feet tall!! As a senior citizen I can't get in and out of it!

Is rather sturdy, although I wouldn't recommend for much over 150 pounds due to the small seat size. Very lightweight, although sturdy for myself at 130 pounds, very easy to set up and take down. Bought mine to carry on the motorcycle to shows and cruises.very comfy for what it is AND a great price!
