Good price, great functionality and fast support.I bought this sim card along with another with a different amount of time and data.Overall the performance is great. It took a few minutes to respond fast but that might have been due to my location at the time, and just booting the phone up after landing.I read reviews complaining about packaging. I can confirm that the packaging it was ambiguous, but I knew to look for a blank paper envelop in the mail.At first, I was unable to tell the 2 sim cards apart as the packaging was identical without labeling. However, the support team regularly responds within minutes! They quickly helped me identify which card was which.Overall,Highly recommended, it works great and the support is top notch.Improvements on labeling (data and time limit) would be helpful, but the support more than makes up for it.To avoid confusion when buying 2 different sims from TravSim,Don't open both packages at the same time.Take a minute to write down the order number, data limit and time limit on the first package before opening the second one.Communicate with support to set the card up ahead of time and your experience will be great.

Works in SpainWe used this for a vacation in Spain -- Santiago in particular, and it worked fine. Activation process works like this:A few days BEFORE your trip:1. First, you scan a QR code to go to the website.2. You may have to type in the identifying number, it's short. You'll be asked what date the line should be activated - consider how many days your plan is for and when your trip starts. Our card was 30 days and our trip just 14 so we just said to activate it "today."3. Wait until business hours (Germany)4. They'll email you the activation information including your e-sim QR code. For me this came within 8 hours -- I had done the first step at night here in the US and they had it to me by my morning.5. I just forwarded the email and used a different phone to display the QR code, and scanned it with the phone I wanted to activate.6. Activation was quick. While in the US I saw that it was picking up T-Mobile here, but I just quickly shut the line off until my trip to avoid any weird "roaming."7. Turn on the line in Europe and use it.Based on seeing T-Mobile, and the emails coming from a German company, I suspect this service is German, but as EU cell plans work pretty much across borders it was, as expected, fine in Spain. This plan doesn't include a number (no SMS or talk), just data. I'd recommend to just use Whatsapp and FaceTime/iMessage for calling and messaging people, which works fine. I was able to do video calls without any problem.

I just tried the travSIM Europe SIM Card (35GB version) during a multi-country trip across Europe. Overall I find it useful but there are some prep work and considerations needed.1. Activation: Easy but Plan AheadActivation Drama: users are recommended activate it 3–5 days before your trip via their website. I submitted my request 3 days early but got the confirmation email the night before departure, so start the process earlier to avoid stress!2. Performance: Fast Data, But Check Coverage- Speed & Reliability: Worked like a charm in cities like Paris and Barcelona. Streaming videos and Google Maps ran smoothly on 4G/5G. No complaints here!- Coverage Gaps: It claims to work in the UK and 30+ EU countries, but I believe Switzerland isn’t included. Please always double-check their country list.- Data Burns Fast: Even with 35GB, I almost ran out by the end of week 2. Background app updates ate up data.3. Pros & ConsPros:- Multi-country convenience: No swapping SIMs between borders.- Decent customer support: Quick replies when I panicked about activation.Cons:- Unpredictable activation timing: Don’t cut it close!- Spotty rural coverage: Struggled on Spain’s remote areas.- Data only, no calling. For users needing local voice calls, I recommend consider the company’s other SIM products with calling featuresFinal Thoughts: Solid for multi-country trips, but not flawless. If you’re okay with planning ahead and double-checking coverage, it’s a hassle-free option. Please just manage your data wisely and be aware this is a data only plan.

For transparency, I have not yet used this e-sim. I expect to travel to Europe this summer and cannot wait to give it a try. I'll update my review once I've actually used the product. In previous years, I have just relied on wi-fi while traveling abroad, but before my trip last summer, I decided to give an e-sim a try. Given that experience and the reviews from others, I anticipate a little bit of hassle to get this successfully activated, but am hopeful that it will work smoothly once that is resolved. As others have noted, the actual e-sim is just a card inside an envelope. I have it stored in the same place as my passport so I don't misplace between now and when I travel. I appreciate the various options for amount of data and length of time. The previous provider only had a couple of plans and none were the perfect balance of data size and length of time. One thing I will be evaluating is how easy it is to switch on and off the data plan. In my previous use of an e-sim, I would only turn it on when actually actively using it instead of leaving it on all the time. That generally worked, but for some reason, I almost always needed to restart my phone whenever I wanted to switch it on. To be clear, this was with a different provider, so not sure if that was unique to that provider or if this is something that I will experience with any provider. Since I generally am in very urban areas when I travel in Europe, I don't expect to have any issues with connectivity, quality, speed or coverage. One tip: If you are like me and have a ton of notifications from various apps, you might want to disable many of them before you activate the e-sim. While those probably are not using much data, better to not waste any data on most of those. I left on things like apps for airlines I was flying, hotel and lodging apps, transit apps (trains, trams, etc.), messaging apps and others that I might need updates from. I turned off notifications from games, Facebook, etc.

Works well, just follow the instructions for activation a day or two prior so you can receive the QR code to scan for the esim. I had better network coverage in Spain versus ATT. Speeds are good

When we travel abroad, we often find ourselves spending half a day, if not more, going around to cell phone stores trying to get SIMs or eSIMs for our phones. We could get them at airports when we arrive, of course. But they're usually more expensive there, so we prefer to go somewhere in town. But to save time on those expeditions, we've been open to services that let you buy a SIM card or eSIM before you leave home, so that as soon as you arrive wherever you’re going you have communications right off the bat.On this occasion I purchased from travSIM a 35-gigabyte physical SIM card, good for 30 days in any of 27 EU countries. (The company offers eSIMs, too.) After it arrived at my home, I followed the instructions to let travSIM know, using the QR code on the provided leaflet, the ID of my SIM and the date I wanted it to be active at my destination (Lithuania). I got an immediate email confirmation. When I arrived in Lithuania, I put the SIM card in and, after a few minutes, the network recognized it. Initially, the internet wasn’t functioning, which I traced to my not having “roaming” switched on in my phone cellular menu. When I switched it on, the SIM worked perfectly. As far as I can see, the SIM doesn’t provide you a phone number for voice calls, but that’s not important because Google Voice, WhatsApp, MagicJack and other VOIP solutions take care of voice needs. The SIM comes in a physical form that lets you install it in phones with various sized SIM sockets and trays, something you encounter fairly rarely these days since most phones use the smallest size.I was a little concerned that neither the leaflet accompanying the SIM nor the travSIM site gave any indication what local network the SIM would be operating on in the country where I would be. With a buy-in-advance eSIM that I bought from another company, they told you the network, so you could manually select it if the eSIM connected to the wrong network and failed to work. Unless travSIM’s technology obviates this problem, they also should would. let you know the desired network for the various countries you will visit. TravSIM does promise 24-hour customer service, but just knowing the right network avoid customers having to email and await for the reply. TravSIM should also remind users to switch on their roaming option. Also, when you’re setting the activation date in advance, you need to set an end date as well. It would be handy if the site automatically showed you all the dates possible for the end date, based on the number of days’ service you bought, so you could pick the date you wanted. Otherwise it takes a bit of experimenting until you find exactly the latest date you can use it (leap year calculations and all that). On the plus side, travSIM says activation needs to be scheduled five days before the phone will be used on location; in my case, the SIM was functioning two days after I scheduled activation. In all, this is a nice, easy-to-use service. It can save you many hours in cell stores, negotiating in a foreign languages and currencies for various cellphone packages. It’s nice to settle it all before you even head to the airport.

There was an error in the activation date, and once I was able to contact them via WhatsApp, they resolved it immediately. 100% recommended.
