Good fit. Snaps right on. Hard to tell if it works.

Works very well on my Stampede 4x4 VXL. Need two of these to cover the motor can. Didn't need to cut or dremel them with my 3351 motor. Suggest using some CPU thermal compound when installing for more efficient heat transfer.

Works good for the price. If using on a slash I would recommend buying 2, that way it will cover the whole can.

Great heatsink for running in grass with 5000mah batteries in a Slash. Keeps motor cool. EDIT: 9-24-15. Doesn't really help at all. If you have heat problems, this won't get rid of them. Maybe like 5° cooler. Would not recommend to anyone. Bought a different heatsink that has fins x4 longer. It actually helps! Plus it's black and black traps heat, so kind of counter-productive.

fit on my stampede 4x4 vxl motor no problem. would need two to cover the whole motor though. I think it helped with heat a bit and was quite happy with it.

This makes my Velineon 3500 run cooler and take longer to heat up, both good things in my opinion, fits on there pretty snug and to make it fit my traxxas stampede I had to do some fenagling, but I got it eventually

If you are running a brushless motor in a slash this will not fit.

Fit is a little tight on the Velineon motor. I had to loosen the motor to snap it on.

We ordered this for our Rustler VXL to help keep the motor temps down. We already had a fan on our ESC but still needed to help cool the motor a bit. We first installed the RPM hybrid gearbox with the aluminum motor mounting plate to help disperse the heat and then added this Heat sink. What is it? A heat sink is an object that disperses heat from another object. The heat is dispersed throughout the fins and the air passing over the fins as you are driving your RC cools the fins. Pretty simple.Installation: Remove the rear wheel from the rc to gain access to the motor. Remove the motor and slide this on the motor. Its very thick metal and won't just "clip" onto the motor. It has to be slid on from the side. Re install the motor. When you are lining your motor screws back up just adjust the position of the heat sink until it lets the motor slide back up to the motor mounting plate. Its pretty simple and takes less than 5 minutes and can save you from frying your brushless motor. Worth the money!! I would recommend this for all Traxxas Velineon 3500 motors.

In my Stampede VXL 4x4, I was getting hot motor temps one day. I assumed it was due to running continuously in wet grass and sand. So I ordered this heatsink.Later, when I was cleaning up the truck, I found a bit of stick jammed between one of the rear axles and the lower wishbone. It had a nice round divot ground out of it where the shaft had been rubbing. D'oh!However, this heatsink gives a nice little bit of conductive surface area to dissipate some heat. I don't regret the purchase, and will probably buy another of these for my 2WD Stampede XL-5, which I've upgraded with the Velineon system. One other nice detail about this is that it just snaps right on the Velineon motor case. I was worried I'd have to take the motor out, which would take a while, but it wasn't necessary. It just snuck right in there and snapped on. Great!

Bought this for my Traxxas Slash 1/10 Scale 2WD truck, to put on the Velineon 3500kv Motor. On the Velineon motor, I removed the branding sticker around the end of the motor (stickers trap heat). It fits on the Slash and Velineon motor, but it did require I grind it down a bit to fit. That may also be due to the RPM bumper mount I have.It works great for this setup. I run the stock gearing, and not currently the optional gear because it was running too hot, but I may put that back on now that I've got the heatsink. I also run a 7.4V LiPo @ 4600 mAH.Previously after a full run it was running right near 200*F with the optional gear that came with the Slash, it was fast, but just was likely to kill the motor at some point, or at least significantly reduce it's life. I put in the stock gearing, and it brought the temps down to around 180*F.With this heat sink installed, I measured ~150*F after a hard, full run in grass. It's such a difference I'm not sure why Traxxas doesn't include this likely very cheap for them add-on.Anyhow, well worth it, I recommend it for Slash Velineon owners. A cooler motor allows the battery and ESC to work less hard, meaning they won't die as early, or often as they would trying to run a hot motor.
