I was destroying pinion gears like crazy, after the 6S conversion. Took a lot of trial and error. First, the pin mesh needs to be removed. That helped, but I finally realized that the top hole with no metal for bite, just wouldn’t cut it anymore. I couldn’t get one whole battery without breaking. Replaced with an aluminum cover and it’s been a lot more reliable.
