For the first time rolling my MZ2, I wanted to pick warm new production tubes and I did a lot of reading before picking these, they were an excellent choice. These are dark, sweet, and wonderfully detailed tubes and they played very well with my Microzotl.

These things spat, sputtered and crackled for about 60 hours. I am still not sure they are done… but after about 80 hours the sound is fantastic. They still sputter a little on startup, and I am still may send these back for a less noisy pair… they do sound great as a driver in my 300b amp once they settle down.

I received these faster than I expected and they were well packaged. Installed them in my Willsenton R8 along with a set of Genalex gold lion kt88 and Northern electric 6sl7 and oh my, did things really come alive. These are a great tube for the money. If you're running this amp with this combination of tubes, I think you'll be quite pleased with a wider sound stage, airy presentation and excellent low - lower mid range authority. Vocals are clear and accurate with a slight roll off so as to not cause fatigue. Highs are perfect IMO, present but not overpowering. There's a low end punch that will definitely give you a warm Sounding experience. I listen in triode as opposed to ultra linear so I do like my music a bit laid back and not in your face. I wouldn't shy away from these if funds permit, they definitely warm things up and open up the sound stage. YMMV. Good luck!

I am using a Shuguang Treasure Cv181-z in a Darkvoice 336se as the signal tube. I've had the Darkvoice for about five years and have tuberolled a lot of different combinations. The consensus is that for the value to sound ratio this is about as good as it gets. When the tubes arrived I popped one in, let it warm up for about 20 minutes and was astounded by how bad it sounded. The buzzing was worse than any 6sn7 I had ever tried. I swapped in the other tube and found it was the same. Very disappointing! After exploring some forums it was recommended that the tubes needed some time to burn in. I assumed this was b.s., however I figured I would try it as so many people enjoy the combination of the Shuguang Treasure with an RCA 6as7gtb. In my head I worried that the Cv181-z runs at about 300ma more than the 6sn7 it replaced, so maybe the buzzing was caused by that. At that point I had no idea.I pulled the power tube, and put the amp on a flame proof and supervised workbench, then powered it on for 24 hours. Next day put the power tube back in, tested it, and the hum was reduced to tolerable levels. Played some records and was impressed with the sound. Then I did the same thing for another 48 hours. Pulling the power tube not only saves some hours on it's life but drastically reduces the amount of heat the amp generates. I set it up again, this time there was no hum, nothing, a truly low noise floor for any tube amp. Not recommending doing this for listening but the Shuguang Treasure can go to much higher volume levels before distorting than any other tube I've tried. The sound stage is wide, but what is really impressive is how much more forward treble sounds without being sibilant. I still don't know the science behind re-biasing a vacuum tube, but following the instructions given to me by more enthusiastic users has yielded the sound these were purported to produce. I imagine this will be my last combination of tubes for this as it is the most pleasing to my ear.

Was not sure about these tubes as knew nothing about them but decided to go with them and give them a try in tube stage of my universal player. I was immediately taken by imaging , soundstage, depth and clarity that got even better after 10-20hrs use. If you enjoy warmth in your music these will be for you. I have tried several more expensive 6SN7 tubes over the past few years and these are the best.

If you currently are using same type of tubes from other suppliers for use in your Oppo 105D Modright upgraded universal-deck, hold on to your hat when you fire these babies up. The sound quality is seriously improved from any other tube manufacturer when used in this BluRay Universal deck. They are fantastic tubes. Not cheap, but well worth the investment.

These tubes totally transformed my amp (Golden Tube SE 40 /Sonic Craft Mod.). It was the largest sonic impact an 130 some dollar investment had in my experience by far. Even with my stock Sovteks output tubes the music acquired clarity, transparency, a certain sense of niceness, increased overall "size" and a sense of "space" around each instrument, the overall effect being similar to going from a dynamic speaker to a Quad Electrostatic which leads me to believe that this tube must have truly low distortion. The improvement in the analog sourced sound was particularly dramatic. It went from kinda bunched to wide open. I can't explain it but here it is. I can only vouch for my amp in my system but man, they had me laughing. Now on to the power tubes...

...one of the tubes was so microphonic it was difficult to keep using. these tubes are amazing for bass presence and stereo imaging, but buy from a seller who will make sure you do not receive microphonic tube.these will come all the way from china. customer support will not be what it should be.
