Our pole spikes for tree climbing set include the pads, straps, leg irons, stirrups, gaffs, gloves, and pair of gaff guards. There is no instruction in the box.
- If you never used this kind of tree climbing gaffs before, please make sure you tie them the right way. Please refer to our picture description and video for more specific precautions.
- Before starting to climb a tree, please increase the tree climbing harness and other protective gear and ropes on your body.
- When using the pole gaffs for the first time, please practice in a low place under the tree to get familiar with the techniques, then climb higher when you are competent.
- Prolonged use may cause the fastening screws to loosen, please check and tighten the screws with a wrench before use.

The first pair I bought had the same issue, and this is the REPLACEMENT that was sent, as the rivets were popping off allowing the brace the move off of the leather padding, affecting form and function. Again, pictured here is the still-bubblewrapped, replacement, and it has the same defect as my first pair, but without even having to wear them.
