This hoist works ok but is a little flimsy when you try to hoist semi heavy items like a rifle. I was able to successfully hoist a .308 but it was a little sketchy. The reel feels very cheaply made and can be difficult to reel up when there is weight on the hoist. Works well for like weight items but heavy stuff should not go on it.

**Tree Frame Gear Hoist, 26 Foot Telescopic Gear and Bow Hoist Review**I recently received the **Tree Frame Gear Hoist** through the Amazon Vine program, and after giving it a thorough test, I must say—it’s a solid addition to any hunting gear set. This 26-foot telescopic hoist is designed with hunters in mind, offering convenience, safety, and practicality for transporting gear up into your tree stand. Here's a breakdown of my experience:### **Design and Build Quality**The hoist is well-constructed and feels durable right out of the box. The black finish gives it a sleek, non-reflective look, which is ideal for outdoor hunting settings as it won’t catch light and spook game. The telescopic feature is a game-changer, allowing me to easily adjust the length to reach my desired height. The 26-foot range is more than enough for most tree stands, and the rope included is of a good, reliable quality. The gear mechanism operates smoothly, and I appreciated how simple it was to set up and use. It’s clear that the manufacturer put some thought into the design—everything from the handle to the clip system feels robust and built to last.### **Ease of Use**One of my biggest frustrations with other hoists has been tangling ropes or overly complicated setups. Thankfully, this model eliminates those issues. The reel system keeps the rope organized, and it’s quick and straightforward to rig up my bow, backpack, or even additional tools. The clips are sturdy and secure, making it easy to attach and detach items.Using this hoist saved me a lot of time and hassle compared to manually carrying items up to my tree stand or using less reliable pulleys. The quick, smooth reel reduces any fumbling around, which is especially helpful when you’re trying to stay quiet and efficient in the woods.### **Functionality**I tested the hoist with a compound bow, a small backpack, and some basic tools, and it handled everything effortlessly. The weight capacity is impressive, and it feels dependable, even with heavier loads. The telescopic design also minimizes the risk of snagging or creating unnecessary noise while hoisting gear. This hoist is a fantastic companion for hunters who need to manage multiple items while climbing tree stands safely. It frees up your hands and adds an extra layer of convenience that’s hard to overlook.### **Safety Features**Safety is always a priority when hunting, and I feel confident using this hoist in the field. The sturdy rope and secure locking mechanisms give me peace of mind that my gear won’t come loose or cause unnecessary accidents. It’s a small addition that goes a long way in ensuring a safe experience while hunting at height.### **Room for Improvement**While the hoist is overall a great tool, a few minor improvements could elevate it even further. For instance, it would be nice if the product came with a small carrying pouch for easier storage and portability. Additionally, an instruction manual or setup guide would be helpful for first-time users, although the design is intuitive enough to figure out.### **Final Thoughts**The **Tree Frame Gear Hoist** is an excellent addition to any hunter’s equipment lineup. It’s durable, easy to use, and versatile—not to mention it significantly improves convenience and safety when hunting from a tree stand. Whether you’re hauling a bow, a firearm, or a backpack, this gear does the heavy lifting for you so you can focus on hunting. At its price point, I highly recommend this product to avid hunters looking to streamline their process in the field. It’s a worthwhile investment that I’m sure will serve me well for many hunting seasons to come.**Rating**: ⭐⭐⭐⭐½ (4.5/5)

I got this for gun deer and bowhunting from a climber tree stand. Nothing sucks more than having to go up and down in a climber stand, so I recommend you use the fixed set of holes to attach some paracord and a second carabiner clip. I accidentally dropped the hoist as I took it out of my pocket, but before I had any gear off the ground. Clip it to your belt or stand and you won't accidentally drop it. I can't wind the gear up with the hoist winder, you need to pull the gear up first, then wind it back up. The hoist was a bit more noisy winding it up and pulling the rope out than I was expecting. It's not loud, but not whisper quiet either. I make enough noise with the climber stand that it doesn't matter, but if you have a fixed stand and ladder, and prioritize complete silence for those sunrise deer, this might not be the best product. The length of the rope is nice, and although it gets tight when almost recoiled, it does consistently wind all the way up. I wish they included a second carabiner and a short loop of rope to the fixed hole to prevent accidental drops, but it's easy enough to add.

I had to take the pictures after I got out of my tree stand, I didn't want to risk dropping my guns just to take a picture. That being said, The hoist came with an instruction book, a large carabiner and the hoist. I hoisted my 12 gauge up in the morning and used my rifle in the afternoon hunt, my 30-06. Both were drawn up with no problem into my tree stand. The belt clip on the back makes it easy to carry. I hooked up my guns and clipped it to my belt and pulled them up when I got up in the tree stand. I didn't use the reel to pull them up with, I saw that some people did, but I figure it will last longer doing it the way I did. There is less chance of dropping a gun or bow also the way I did it. It is plastic, but I think that's a plus, if you don't abuse it, it will never rust. I like it and it's a 5 star to me.

A great tool for the deer woods, especially if you use the slings or tree stands. Easily clip to your bow or other gear, climb, and reel back in. Seems to work well, and I think it'll probably last a few seasons but it feels like pretty cheap plastic. Not sure it would survive a drop from the top.
