Five stars I think after just this one use. As 'had2bhonest' wrote, I am injecting castor oil into the root area of my ornamental grass to combat gophers. Given my ground cover I can't easily find their tunnel so the next best thing is to treat the roots. I am hoping this doesn't harm the plant. The tool itself seems to work pretty good I can see the castor oil dispense so I know when to stop. Pressure needed to be adjusted to get the process running smoothly.I don't know why the picture shows the shutoff valve after the dispenser. Unscrew it and place first in the line. By the way, hose accessories seal with a rubber washer, the teflon tape is not meant for sealing that stuff. It is useful however in sealing the SS shafts together. As to the gloves, I just used latex as not wanting to get castor oil on my bare hands. We'll see how this goes.

This has a bad weld on the 90-degree pipe joint coming out of the handle. There's a hole in the weld and when I turn on the water, the water spurts out of this weld all over me. I cannot use this and this is being returned. Poor quality control is evident; just looking at this weld you can see the hole in the weld-joint.Update: the seller contacted me and promptly offered to fully refund or replace this unit. ( I had already returned this unit to Amazon, however.) I appreciated his quick response and his offer to entirely remedy this situation. I'm upgrading this review to 3 stars; I'd work with this seller again.

It works really well. My clay soil is difficult but if I reduce the flow it won’t overflow the hole.I leave the spike in the ground. We had an earlier than expected freeze and I forgot to remove the fertilizer container. It, along with all of our ball valves, broke. The merchant sent me a new one. They definitely didn’t have to do that.

We bought this because our fruit trees were suffering here in Texas without rain. Wanted to insure the roots got plenty of water. This product is well made and did the job right. Super easy to use and lightweight. Don’t let that fool you though- we had no issue getting all the trees watered!

This tool is fitted with a jar which is filled with the desired solution. Water flow siphons the solution, unmetered. The tool is well made. A valve allows bypassing the attached jar. Useful for trees and vine fertilization and not feeding the weeds. Obviously not for an orchard operation.I am using this product to inject castor oil into the soil to repeal ground squirrels, moles, and voles. Castor oil isn't pleasant in my yard so injection into and near tunnels is better than spaying the lawn. Also castor oil is expensive so this tool allows for targeted injections starting at the end of the newest tunnels. Plus I can add garlic, onion, mint oils to the solution. Monthly injections along the border keeps the pest out. Note: Castor oil pellets are easy to spread but expensive since they are only 20% castor and on the surface for days with the resulting unpleasant odor.

This has been the most efficient way to water our trees and bushes by getting the water directly to the roots. When watering on the surface, you never know exactly how much is getting to the roots. This usually ends up wasting water $$The added benefit of the “Easy to Use” fertilizer delivery system makes feeding your trees and bushes simple.Lastly, the construction of this tool is great. It is durable enough to apply pressure to penetrate even the hardest soil.I highly recommend using this type of watering system and this brand/model is a good choice because of its features & durability.

Previous feedback comments indicate this product leaks. It does. Tube is larger than Jobes model and is harder to insert into the ground. Releases plenty of water, however.

Sloppy welding or soldering where the dispenser joins the vertical tube. Leaks like crazy. Quality control an issue with this supplier.UPDATE.The supplier promptly contacted me, seeking to immediately resolve the problem. Very impressed with the speed and attention to customer service. I opted for a refund rather than a replacement, but wouldn’t hesitate to consider this supplier again. Nicely done!
