This reel is nice and lightweight. The clips works well with my tree stand, I just clip it to a strap when not using it. Highly Recommended.

This is a lightweight hoist that can be used for lightweight items. I like the fact that it stores the fabric inside and out of the weather. I usually just use para cord and have to replace it annually. It is a good idea but needs some work on the cranking system.

I like the compact size, it will fit in a pocket easily. There is also a clip for your belt. The padded spring hook protects your equipment. I also like the flat strap as it doesn't tangle easily. Seems strong enough to handle any bow. The only drawback I could see on this lift strap was that it is noisy when you pull the strap out to create slack while you climb. The material makes a noise that could be heard in the quiet morning woods, but I guess it is not as loud as climbing a tree with your climbing stand.

I used to use para cord to pull my gear up.. now I can hook this to my bow, climb up the tree.. and then pull it up.. Once I have everything I can reel it back in and it stores right on the back of my belt! very happy.

When I ordered this hoist I thought that there was some kind of spring loaded mechanism to lift the load. I was wrong! ( I did not read carefully) You must let out the flat rope and then pull or wind the item depending on the weight of the item up. The only advantage to this device is you have somewhere to store the rope. I can pull up my fifteen foot soft cotton rope just as easily!

This product is very compact; it fits in the palm of your hand. If you look at the Hunter Safety System gear hoist, this product is the exact same thing. The total length of line is 32 feet, which should work for anyone setting their stand less than 25' in the air. The carabiner is smaller than I would like, but it will suffice. There is some heat shrink on hook end of the carabiner to avoid scratching your gear; I may add Stealth Strip as well. The belt clip hooks nicely onto my stand harness. The reeling mechanism is not intended to reel up your gear; you pull the strap up by hand. If you try to reel your gear up, you could potentially damage this product or your gear.Pros:1) plenty of length2) compact design3) operates as it should4) webbing feels good and solid5) no tangled mess of rope to deal with. *this (IMO) is the biggest selling pointCon:1) while the rotating mechanism spins, either while climbing up or reeling it up, it is a bit noisy. I think this is true for all product designs similar to this. This point is even mentioned in the HSS reviews. The faster you go, the louder it becomes. Patience will be key while ascending or reeling the line in.Overall, this product is a nice addition to my hunting gear; it will serve me well.
