This triangle is a part of my washboard attachments. I needed something to add on to my washboard for a ting kind of note. Washboards are set up with all kinds of things that are used for percussion in a lot of jug bands. I added this little triangle for fun. This is not loud like one of those Cajun triangles used in that style of music. It will make some sound for you. Just not loud like those triangles used in Cajun music. Works great on my washboard.

I specifically ordered a triangle with a striker that had a loop/hole at the end so it could hang on the triangle and not be lost. The triangle I received has no such item, just a short and stubby little striker with yellow a yellow plastic nub at the end. I don't see any reason that I'll be keeping this. Packing it up and shipping it back.

The only thing that would make this better is if the pieces were somehow attached. The mallet doesn't have a hole in the top as shown but instead is a piece of plastic that you can't tie anything to. Otherwise it's a hit - I just don't know how long we'll be able to track the mallet.

This triangle has a great tone, which was really a surprise to me. The low cost, in this case, does not mean a loss of quality. I would recommend this for the music classroom.

We had a musical arrangement requiring three triangles, which we had, but two of our triangles sounded about the same and we were hoping to get the additional sound here. We ended up not even using this one as it did not have very good resonating qualities as compared to our other triangles. It is priced very inexpensive and that may be the problem. It would probably work for a classroom situation but does not work for a larger ensemble.

Decent sound but it is fairly large in size. I bought for my 2 year old who loves playing with these in her music class and she was unable to dangle by herself.

Already had the 5 inch Trophy triangle. I don't understand how anyone could give this a bad rating. Even if it has bad sound (it doesn't) it was a measly $3 with free shipping. My other one sounds good too and costs even less. Some complained about the small striker. Maybe these individuals don't know how to play a triangle. I like the small striker as it allows me to play this thing really fast. You hit 2 of the inside bar surfaces of the triangle very fast for the best sound, I think. You change the sound texture by how the holding hand interacts with the triangle, ranging from a loose to a firm grip. You can just tap it like a chime too, but this can be used as a real musical instrument, and it does have a good tone. $3. You'll never hear me complain about it.

Within the first day not only did my toddler break the plastic thing that you're supposed to use to hold the triangle, but it came with this pitiful little pin with which you are supposed to strike the triangle. If you are buying this triangle for someone, be sure that you get them a nice wand to strike it with.
