Only work together as a purchased pair. Not interchangeable with similar units. Literature never tell that part. Very frustrating to work with.

I really can't figure out what the negative reviews are for these. I am not a professional installer. I just added the 4th one to our church system. We have 1 transmitter and 4 of these receivers. I simply run a CAT5 from the single transmitter in the back 150' to a splitter in the front to plug in one of these receivers, connect the receiver to a monitor, and they just simply work. A couple of these receivers showed lines on the screens when they were installed. There are 2 small adjusters on these receiver units, one is labeled "EQ" and the other "Gain". I simply got a jeweler's screwdriver and slowly turned these adjusters until the screen brightness was correct and the lines went away. It takes seconds to make the adjustment, easy. Everyone on the stage can see what's on the projector screen (also on one of these receivers) behind them now. They are happy and I am happy it was so easy and economically reasonable to do.

Image is very dark even with the gain all the way to the max. VERY sensitive to electrical disturbances and static (if you turn on a light the image goes away and comes back).

Excellent product.Be sure to feed the receivers with the same electricity source as that used in the transmitter and everything will work perfect. My experience: The office where is the server where the images are sent (Xibo server) was electric AC supplied with a different street transformer than the transformer bank where are feed the receivers, in other building. I had noisy image and even the image is cut and returned intermittently and always with poor quality.A lot of tries and test, I found that the video system need to be feeded with the same AC electricity than the server and video transmitter. I had to use a cable TSJ AWG12x2 traveling the building next to the UTP cable and so achieve a perfect image even in the last screen. about 300 mtrs installation. The whole installation was made with UTP CAT5E unshielded inside PVC pipe 1/2 "Now I'm happy and very satisfied.

A noticeable quality difference. I have a device connected to two monitors and the remote monitor is a noticeable difference. The two monitors are the exact same and look the same when connected directly to the device. It works for what we needed but don't expect a high quality image.

Used this to install some flat panel televisions in a church for song lyrics. I used three of these with the Tripp Lite B132-004-1 4-port transmitter. Once I got the cables terminated correctly, it worked as planned. Be weary of running cheap cat-5, as I had to re-run one because of a kinked cable. Also, fluorescent lighting can cause interference if the cable is placed above a fixture and not well insulated. My runs were about 140 feet.

I bought this to replace a Shinybow kit that was damaged during a lightening storm. It was used to transmit the security camera images on two TVs in the retail area. After several calls to TrippLite, my issues with the equitment has not be resolved. They said they would call back with a solution several times but never did. I had to call them and ask what the story was. The TV picture was not as clear as the shinybow. There was a big difference in clarity. And only one of the TVs would work. The second one would flicker on and off as if it was a bad signal. Every possible test was done. The final answer was that "the equiptment just doesn't like the Sony monitor." That is what tripplite told me. It worked with a small computer monitor and a cheap large flat screen. I would not suggest using tripplite for anything at this time. The equiptment didn't work as it should have and customer support is not good at all. How can they tell me that their extender just doesn't like my TV? Shinybow replaced all three units under warranty. They shipped me the new units immediately. Even before I sent the faulty ones back! And the picture quality is much, much better than tripplite. I would suggest spending a few extra dollars and buy Shinybow.

I've been using the Startech dot com equivalent of this product. Decided to give TrippLite a chance for a new job. I find these much easier to work with than the startech's, and better for rate of failure.I purchased a transmitter and 4 receivers to split the monitor video signal from a security DVR to four screens installed through out my clients facility. The units come with adjustments pots on the side for signal quality (eq and gain). Very simple, very efficient. I was able to install with ease. They are installed in an industrial facility, enduring a considerable amount of heat and humidity. They have been working great. Will be using them again.

The Tripp Lite products (B132-100A and B132-002A) allow you to send VGA signals over ethernet. We use them for our digital message boards, and they have worked well for the most part.We have a computer in a secure, easy to access location, and connect one side of the Tripp Lite extender to the computer's VGA output. The other side of the extender connects to ethernet, sending the signal thru standard ethernet cables to the ethernet connection by our flat screen digital TV/monitor. The ethernet connects in to the Tripp Lite deconverter, and a short VGA cable connects into the TV itself. Each package comes with one convert, and the appropriate number of deconverters (1 or 2). The deconverters are identical between B132-100A and B132-002A.In several locations I use the Tripp Lite B132-100A to drive 1 digital monitor from the computer; in several other locations I use the Tripp Lite B132-002A 2-port to drive 2 digital monitors from one computer. (As you can see in the picture of the B132-002A 2-port there are 2 ethernet connections.)For the most part I have been pleased. I have 2 location failures. I have not yet ascertained whether the failure is with the Tripp Lites or a bad wiring install. That is a Christmas project.I settled on this solution after contacting my local state university and finding out that they use Tripp Lites in their integrated science and technology complex.
