The zipper was broken straight out of the box. Repaired and would keep splitting the zip. Would not reccomend

I ordered this organizing sleeve for my bow mounted trolling motor. The sleeve is 48" long and has a full-length zipper with 4 Velcro type adjustable sleeves to tighten the bundle or attach to a handrail. I will be using this on a self-deploying, 72" shaft trolling motor. There are a lot of wires I need to organize and with the long shaft, I have run into troubles with tangling and binding when stowing or deploying the motor with the remote control. I am hoping to install this sleeve to reduce or eliminate these problems. The organizing sleeve is well made and uses what appears to me as a robust fabric that sheds water as well as a strong plastic zipper. Won't know for sure until Spring as the bay has ice on now.

Fits Many Outboard Motor Control Cables NOT Just Trolling Motor Cables! For it's primary intended purpose of protecting trolling motor wiring and cables, this is a 5 star product! It would fit my Minn Kota Riptide properly. However, I installed this cable sleeve on the outboard motor control cables of my 2016 Carolina Skiff 178DLV with a Suzuki DF90A(T) 90hp.The installation was easy, but tight because I have an extra triplex cable in my loom that most people will not have adding to the girth. The exposed length of my wires was 31 inches. This cable cover is 48 inches long. It was easy to get the extra material spread out along the length on the cables. It would have also been possible to run the extra material into the bilge on my particular boat. The manufacturer claims the material to be UV blocking and resistant to breakdown. The blocking is the key reason for you to protect your control cables. In Florida, the sun is no less worse than salt water to your boat. The two major weak spots I see on this cover are:1. The zipper is heavy plastic (good), but the pull is light weight and likely prone to breakage or saltwater rot (bad). It is not branded with a brand name.2. The Velcro closures have small tabs to stick to. These are a " just in case" feature to prevent the cover from blowing away if the zipper fails. The good news about these two potential issues is that once installed, you are unlikely to remove the cover unless you NEED to do so for repairs to the wires or hoses inside it. My boat is very dry in the motor area, so I don't expect to open the cover at all, except to possibly replace a fuel hose...down the line...hopefully, way down the line!I think this cover can be of benefit to you for the protection of your boat's cabling UV exposure mitigation. The manufacturer's dimensions were accurate 12/2024. Plrase note that this material DOES NOT STRETCH AT ALL.
