About a 3/4 inch lip and flexible so it fits and when the rear seats are down it is flexible enough to not break. I picked up some cargo and laid down the back seats to fit it in. I was worried the back lip of the mat would break if it was crushed flat, it did not, worked perfectly.

Fantastic product. Eventhough it's the cargo area, I still want my vehicle to look as neat and clean as possible for as long as possible. Carrying groceries and laundry aids, I'm not worried with leaks and spills getting into the carpet. I don't even worry now about luggage stains and marks or something being pushed and snagging the carpet. Easy to wipe clean with a damp cloth or take out and hose down. Decently priced also.
