This was my first time rock tumbling as well as using this grit but it seems to be working very well - I am pleased so far with the quality of the work in progress. Just a few more days and I will have completed all four steps and hope to have professional looking results. Grit was very reasonably priced!

Worked so well. Tru-Square sent another whole package to us after I let them know we never received the first. Then when the snow melted, we found that the delivery person left the first package it in a place we would have never looked. I called Tru-Square back to tell them we had found the first package and apologized. Their rep told me to keep both and enjoy. The grit gave us all the right choices and did the job beautifully.

Completed two batches of hard rocks like jasper, amazonite, and quartz. They looked much nicer than when they started but lacked the luster I was hoping for after four weeks of tumbling. Then again I am a newbie, so we'll see how the next batch goes.

I only have a small cheap tumbler for now... wasn't going to spend tons of money for a tumbler if I didnt become addicted to the hobby... I am pleased with this grit kit... I did a lot of research around Amazon and found this to be one of the best deals as far as quantity and price go. I am no grit expert, but it does the job. Better than the grit that came with my kit did... this also includes the 4 steps... better end results. My kit came with only 3 steps. And no where does any grit kit explain the final step of burnishing... which you can find instructions to easy online... it's a couple days of using ivory bar soap and water in the tumbler... the polish phase does not really POLISH your rocks, rather, it just makes them extremely smooth with matte finish... the final step with the soap is what makes your rocks look like they have been laminated. I mention this so the grit doesnt get a bad review if that is the result you expect before burnishing the rocks with the bar soap. If the price doesnt raise I will keep buying from this seller.

The rocks, tumbling grits are fine the Rock tumbler I am not impressed with, we are on our second round and the white plastic piece under the red tub is wearing out already, big regret there

Great quality at a price that can't be beat. Instead of buying the kits with the little packages that are exorbitantly expensive (about $14 even from Harbor Freight), get this item and measure out what you need. No big deal to measure. A great deal in the price. The shipping was reasonable for the weight of the product.Great Seller service.I recommend this product from this seller wholeheartedly.

Purchased this grit pack to go with the new tumbler! You get all four types of grit and polish though there is only enough in each bag for 1 or two tumbles. I plan to drain each pack into an empty peanut butter jar and save for another tumble. You get 1=course grit, 1= fine grit, 1= pre-polish and 1= polish! Each pack mixes with water and must run in the tumbler for DAYS!! Get the 1 lb box of course grit too!! You will use more course grit than anything else!!
