The lock is quite solidly built. Aluminum frame and steel pin. The pin is built solidly thick.I was wondering if the cable would be too thin and easily snipped, but that's just to hold the pin. The pin head itself would block a case from opening. The lock is quite satisfactory to use. It clicks into place and the depth is adjustable for larger cases if needed. The button makes it spring open rapidly.Being 3 numbers, it wouldn't take longer than 20-30 mins to try all the combinations, but they can just as easily force open the case itself. Locks are only deterrents, not guarantees.Slightly pricy for a lock though.

The Armorwerk's adjustable shank on the lock is a great idea. It worked extremely well on the Plano hard case I purchased. I put three locks on the case and feel it is quite secure

Nice heavy lock. Works great, easy to set, Using it for an outdoor shed. Only minor gripe is that I wish the numbers were easier to read in sunlight.

Feels solid and strong, to a point. Serves a purpose to defeat a very casual attacker and provide compliance with a locked container requirements in certain jurisdictions.Code reset procedure is very simple, I liked the somewhat novel shaft construction - it's just a bit easier than the traditional padlocks or full wire locks. The clicks on the code rings are nice positive stops. When dialed in, the shaft ejects with authority - keep the small pets and children away.Alas the dimensions of the shaft and wire cable on the drawing make it look like it's the circumference (fooled me) - it's the diameter. As such, the 6mm diameter shaft makes it too wide to fit the lockable zipper holes. On the positive side, on Pelican cases and such the protection is from the shaft with a big knob on top, not the wire, so it's much harder to defeat.

TOKCKYBL - TSA Approved Gun Case Lock – Heavy-Duty, Cut-Resistant & Child-Safe Security Padlock for Firearms, Pistols, Rifle Cases, and Travel Luggage. This little lock works fine to secure a pistol case. Easy to set my chosen combination. I like that the steel shaft is connected with a steel cable, not a plastic connector. This could work as a TSA luggage lock for suitcases also, if needed.
