My computer and TV are not in the same room so this wireless device is great when I want to cast something from it onto my TV without the hassle of moving the computer or using an HDMI wire. The TR30 does it wirelessly; no wi-fi or bluetooth needed. It does come with directions but I am no techie so before I hooked everything up I went on YouTube and watched a few videos and learned some things about the product along the way. I highly recommend searching TR30 wireless transmitter/receiver or TTQ wireless transmitter/receiver if you are like me.There is an HDMI adapter included if it is difficult to plug the device directly into the transmitting or receiving device's HDMI port. No need to press any buttons to turn devices on. They are already factory paired but their are directions on how to re-pair them if necessary.FIRST, plug RX into the receiving device's port. Make sure you are on the proper HDMI setting for the port. Once it is connected to your receiver, the blue light should come on around the RX button. If it does, on you are ready to plug the TX into transmitting device (comes with 2 mini HDMI adapters). If the blue light does not come on it means that your device does not send power through your HDMI port. You will need to plug one the enclosed USB-C-USB-A cables into the device and into a phone charger and plug it in. The blue light will come on.SECOND, attach the TX transmitter to the transmitting device. If the blue light comes on then you just need to wait a short while for it to connect and you are set. If it does not come on then plug the 2nd enclosed USB-A-USB-C cable to a charger and plug in. If your equipment is newer, this step probably won't be necessary. For me, My TV is about 7 yrs old so I did need to plug into the electric by my computer is about 1 yr old so I did not need to do that.It took me less than 5 minutes to completely set up and see my computer screen on the TV. Sharing photos with family and friends has never been easier.I can highly recommend this product.
