This tub spout diverter fits my spout perfectly. I didn't have to remove the spout at all. I just took some needle nose pliers and pulled out the old one. Pushed my finger in to hold the new one in place until it connected. Very easy installation process. Seems pretty durable and well made. Made a tight connection without leaking. Easy to operate. Excellent price.

I have a moen shower. Straight out of the box, this diverter did not work. It was too thick to engage when pulled up. After sanding off the texture on the back and about 1/32” off or so, it fits good. It’s a tight fit, no wiggle room. There is a small leak when the water is diverted, but not bad. It works, but it is definitely not a universal fit as described.

This bathtub diverter repair kit is of decent quality, with simple installation steps and complete accessories. However, during my use, the sealing effect was average, and the water flow switching was sometimes not smooth.

These are quality parts to fix a leaky spout if the plastic gate or seal gasket is the problem. Often the problem goes beyond and the spout surface where the gate slide up and down is no longer flat, caused by erosion and mineral deposits. If the surface condition can be restored by filing and scrapping, then this set will be perfect. Otherwise it's time for a new spout. If the surface condition is good, the replacement process is quite easy. The parts have decent quality and the price is competitive.
