The Tubus fork mounts worked as advertised. They allowed me to mount a front "lowrider rack" and panniers to the forks of my bike.

I used these to mount a soma front mini rack on my ladies Fuji that didn't have rack mounts. Worked like a charm to mount it mid fork. Appears to be much sturdier than using p-clamps.

This part alone has prolonged my mid drive conversion. Because I need the use of my rack to mount my battery. It's been over a week of me dealing with these nuanced problems and this is another with this part that has presented itself. The mounting screws need to err on the longer side not on the shorter side. The screw threads should be 1.5" long not 1" long. Because when you mount the rubber and the washers with these screws the length of the screws are shortened even more. These are M5 screws with a pitch depth of 0.8mm by the way.

I've used these fork adapters on a few of my bikes. The supplied bolts wouldn't fit the forks, so I simply replaced them with other bots. They work very well, and secure nicely to the bike.

If you need to mount a front fork that requires mid-fork bolt eyelets, but your fork doesn't have them, then these adapters are for you. They mount solidly, and your rack won't ever know the difference. They adapters also work much better than trying to adapt P-clamps, which may work but will be inelegant at best, and an in-progress fail at worst.Mine are mounted on a straight-bladed Salsa disc fork. In my case the adapter's built-in spacing (about 1/4") is necessary to maintain brake clearance. The adapter is CNC'd from solid aluminum. They are sturdy and have thus far been bomb-proof.If you need to carry any meaningful weight (or aim to protect the things you're carrying), then pony up and get these adapters. If ugly and mostly-works is your MO, then stick to those zip ties. And if you want to shell out the big bucks for your Tubus, just buy a new fork+starnut (or bike, if you're less handy). Don't mount these or any front rack to carbon fork--that's just pure foolishness.
