What is exhaust gas recirculation valve?
The EGR Valve is an emission control device.
It modulates the flow of exhaust gas into the intake manifold to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions.
It's used to reduce fuel consumption,improve engine performance.
Note: Before installing this part, check the Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve passage in the intake manifold and clear any carbon blockage.
Failure to do so will result in repeat malfunction of the Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve system.

Stopped working approximately 24hr after being professionally installed. Stopped working on the highway also! Towed back to shop, shop says part is defective already. Needed to be towed and more shop time, new part! I'm baffled. DNB!

This is the correct part# EGV658 for a 2002 Honda Odyssey and a great price. My old one needed some PB blaster to loosen the rusted bolts, but after letting it soak overnight I was able to install the new one and its working fine.
