Popped the old ones out and snapped these in place in less than 10 minutes. Old ones couldn’t hold tailgate up anymore. These took care of that.

Installing was easy. Issue is the actuation is not smooth. It jolts or jumps right at the end of the extended stroke. I wanted to get replacements but it was not offered. Had to buy another set and replace the faulty ones.

one, The cylinder is slightly smaller in circumference from the Hyundai original lift support. Secondly, when the hatch has been engaged to raise, it travels at a normal speed until it is near it's end of travel then jets upward quickly. Lastly, when door travels downward it travels at a normal speed until it is close to closing then slams down at the bottom of travel. In closing, it's not really close to the original Hyundai part. For now, it will do.
