The elbow pad fits okay. The padding can be very helpful. I just wish it was a little thicker. My doc told me I should be wear a padded elbow pad. For sports, these have very little padding. I have had to add more padding. It is not stiff enough for those who need padded elbow pads to help keep the elbow protected when putting pressure on it or keeping the elbow from bending (recommended to wear it with the pad over the inside at night to keep the elbow from bending). Not enough to protect the nerve when putting a bit of pressure on the elbow.If you need a very lightly padded elbow pad then this would work for you. It is fully bendable with the elbow. I would not call these enough padding for football or any sport you need padding. These elbow pads are a size down from the large I have for a very painful elbow. I had ordered those according to the chart, but they were too big around the top to stay up. Because I liked the fractured, flexible elbow part, I wanted to try a size down. They are flexible on your arm, the fabric is thin and stretchy and makes movement easy. The medium does stay up better, however the material at the elbow bunches up into the crook of your arm, cutting off circulation. Any smaller and they’d be too tight all together, more a child-size then. Since these are for work where I need to bend and lean on my elbow, unless they'll stretch over time, the protection will not work for long before getting too uncomfortable.
