I simply can't say enough good things about these stirring sticks. When I first got them my impression was that they'd be too bulky for stirring small amounts but I was wrong! They work perfectly. There's a pointy end like a pencil and a flat end like a screwdriver. Both have come in very handy. Even with very small paint trays, they grab paint from the edge and make mixing and blending much easier. They wipe clean with just a paper towel or if you forget to clean them, the paint peels right off when it's dry. The best part is that the flat end works like a squeegee to remove small painting mistakes or to clean up spills. Just more proof that the right tools can make all the difference.

I got this to help with my resin art. I love that this is the size and shape of a pencil. So, it’s easily held in my hand to use to remove bubbles, move the resin in my molds, spread the resin out evenly, etc. One side has a tip like a pencil, and the other side is flat. So you can choose which side to use for whatever you need to do.Also since this is silicone, you can reuse it when using it with resin. You can either let the 2 part epoxy resin cure and then you can just peel it off, or take some rubbing alcohol and wipe it off if you’re using UV resin or don’t want to wait for the resin to cure. You get 3 sticks, which with the price at $10 is ok. Not great but it’s not crazy priced. So, I like the functionality of these as it does what I need it to do.

Making art is fun but the waste left behind isn't fun for the environment. Although it's not always possible to produce less art waste, my hope was these silicone sticks could help.Currently, for the small art projects that I make, I use a popsicle stick or plastic spoon to stir and blend paint. When I'm done with my project, the stick or spoon gets tossed into the trash. The idea behind the silicone stirring and blending sticks is that you can use them over and over again with water-based acrylic paint and when finished, cleaning-up the stick is easy. The result is you don't add to the landfill and you haven't spent a lot of labor in cleaning the sticks.I used one silicone stick to stir a bottle of basic white acrylic paint and I stirred a pot of green high-end acrylic mineral paint with another one. Then I left the paint to dry on the sticks for half a day. When dry, the green paint practically rolled off the stick. I had to bend the tip back and forth first for a few seconds to create a crack in the paint, then I was able to pull and roll the paint off. It peeled off in a little sheet in no time. But the white acrylic paint was more of a struggle. This paint clung almost like glue to the silicone stick. I had to use my thumbnail to work at it and scrape the paint off. After a minute or two of scraping with little shreds of paint falling all over the table, a white, almost powdery residue remained on the stick. Once I washed the stick with warm water and soap, it cleaned off well enough. The only difference in my test experiment is the green paint is a higher-priced, acrylic mineral paint that's available at only a few speciality suppliers while the white acrylic paint is a well-known, inexpensive brand of craft paint available nearly everywhere. The size of the sticks are about 7" long and about 1/4" circumference. One end has a chisel cut and the other end is a point. The body of the stick is rigid but if you apply enough force to bend it, it will bend. The silicone sticks are lightweight and are comfortable to hold.Because it took more effort to clean the sticks when using the less costly paint, I'll be using the sticks more with the higher priced mineral paint and not so much with the cheaper paint.I give this product 3 stars because a statement right on the package exclaims, "Dried Paint Peels Right Off!" Yet, that apparently depends on the brand and quality of acrylic paint you use.

I got these a couple of days ago and so far they do everything it says on the tin. The sticks are a flexible silicone at the tips, one side being a pointy cone and the other being a flattened wedge shape. Only about the last inch of either end can be bent with force as there seems to be some sort of supporting rod inside for the remaining length. I've let some paint dry on it intentionally and it did come right off as advertised. If you're tired of damaging brushes, getting brush handles dirty, or using disposable items to mix things, I recommend these. Turbo Dork is an innovative and respected brand in the miniature hobby space and while this is a luxury item and not something you need, it is a good and functional tool. Getting three in a package is a decent value, though I think one is enough.

The pigment in my Turbo Dork chameleon-esque paints settled, and I was struggling using my shaker for them. They like to separate more than essentially any of my other paints and I was already planning to just manually stir them. Seeing these though I felt like sure, why not. They absolutely work. I probably would've just used an orange stick and thrown it away, maybe getting some wood debris or something in there, certainly throwing them away after. There are definitely other silicone stirring sticks out there. I think for me the value is in supporting a company I like, and getting something that's intended for the specific product I want to use it for. In addition, I don't have to play the random "will this work/is it good/will it fall apart?" game. They work. The ends are a little floppy, with some give, but not so much that it hinders stirring. Most of the center is reinforced, so you can maintain some pretty good scraping pressure. The size... is really overkill for the size of the jars, but will work with up to the tallboy 4oz bottles if you have them. Once the paint dries on them, it really is a matter of just peeling it off. The pointy tip and the flat spat sides have some versatility, useful for more than just the one job.If I had any complaints, they're a little grippy in the silicone way so they do collect dust, but it's nothing a quick rinse in the sink won't take care of. I think all things said and done these are kind of an oddity in my kit, but I'm glad to have them. It seems like they'll hold up well and I won't need another mixing apparatus for quite some time.
